Gastroparesis?

Don't mean to seem like a dolt for bumping an inactive thread, but as a dude with a lot of gastro problems I sympathize on the dumbass doctors front. That being said, I've seen in both myself and lot of other medical patiens in our state symptoms that do seem like hyperemesis. I have underlying gastro problems, but there was a point in time where I began developing hyperemesis. I remember a pit in my stomach in the morning that reminded me of a problem similar to Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS). The symptoms of CHS started feeling like those of the CVS I had when i was younger.

My point is that the cannabinoid system is important but also sensitive. Imagine CHS being the breaking point of a person's cannabinoid system. The hypothalamus gets thrown out of balance and the autonomic system develops a dysfunction. I'm at a point where I don't have the hyperemesis anymore but my consumption is MUCH lower.

If you are having nausea in the morning, quit for ATLEAST 30 days brother. It's not easy since it's a very pleasant habit unlike pharma, but took much certainly affects the autonomic nervous system. A lot of folks are fine with consuming large amounts, but a sizeable percentage of patients, "patients", and recreational users I know have noticed themselves developing hyperemesis. I know I have low posts right now, but if you are still having these gastro problems, try cutting the herb out for ATLEAST 30 days. A couple days it not enough, and you will feel miserable for 1-3 weeks I guarantee it, but you HAVE to stick it out.

Good luck and just my two cents folks, moderation is always preferable to excess when it comes to healing.
i could definitely cut back but can't drop altogether because of the arthritis and fibro that i medicate for. The arthritis i could deal with but the fibro, untreated, will make it impossible to work.

I have had gastroparesis for 6 years now since my knee surgery when they gave me to much medicine during and after surgery. The ONLY thing that heklp my extreme stomach pain is to take about a gram of phoenix tears "aka Marijuana Oil" then I take that and inject it into small capsules so there easy to take the night before. Now instead of waking up every morning at 5 am vomiting I can sleep until 8 and I haven't had any pain since. Its very strong stuff and you have to make it from alot of trim so read up on phoenix tears they will change her LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!

Judo, I love that you bumped this. I have been having serious gastro issues as of late and have wondered if it was CVS and/or CHS. I have heard that if stress or food triggers symptoms, then it cannot be either of these disorders. Since you seem like you have experience in both, ever heard that?
Mustrememberusername, If you haven't tried cutting out cannabis completely for at least 4 weeks, you'll have no way of knowing for sure that it isn't Cannabinoid Hyperemesis. You'll feel worse before you fell better. You'll feel awful physically for 2 weeks and psychologically for a while. Good diet is always a plus, so if your eating good then props.

Contrary to what you've heard, stress and food triggers are exactly correlated to CVS. CVS seems to be different in adults than it is in children. CVS in children seems to have a hormonal source that puts the kid in a state where it's easy to get triggered. Neurological disorders are all related since they are all rooted in serotonin imbalances to some degree, environmental factors, etc.
There's a lot of bullshit on forums about Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome because some folks are reactionary and don't like to think that there may be cases out there were GARGANTUAN daily doses of herb have negative side effects for a minority of users. Why they react like this is beyond reason and it CHS denial does the MMJ community a disservice.

Both Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome(CVS) and Cannabinoid Hyperemesis (CHS) suck, so I feel for you guys.

CHS for me was marked by nausea in the morning and weird stomach discomfort on and off. It got to the point where it was like the CVS of my youth and I said "WOW, they feel like the same shiz, just reserved to the morning every morning." CVS is like migraines, it has the same triggers, but CHS is tied to a disruption of the cannabinoid system.

The hypothalamus is one of the parts that flips out during both CVS and CHS.
In both syndromes the hypothalamus fails to regulate properly so folks get chills, sweats, low body temperature, nausea, vomiting. These problems aren't permanent or out of our control. Clean body, brain and diet is essential; veggies>meat, sugar.

Also, if your other end is having issues, let me know if you've taken antibiotics recently or in the past, I might be able to help you out a bit, I
can't PM yet b/c I need more posts, I'm working on it thoughkiss-ass

Budlover13,
That would definitely work, I've seen it work for friends and people online. I understand what it's like to rely on the meds since their a less disruptive option to pain management than pharma.

Overall, I've found nutrition and diet to be really important. Honest to god, for both my neuro problems as well as that of friends and family who suffer as well, and I've noticed that cutting out meat is really helpful. A lot of research points to meat producing inflammation in the body. I have to say that for me and two other family members with neuro issues similar to mine, going on a plant-based diet helped more than anything else. Food is medicine, you sound like you've been through a lot so you probably pay a lot of attention to your diet like a lot of folks with chronic illnesses are forced to do.

Fill your body with green food, fill your lungs with prana (not trying to sound preachy, just cheesy )

Meat, factory farm or "grass-fed, organic," whatever it is, Budlover13, for you in particular because of the inflammation issues, cut out the meat. Look it up, it triggers an inflammatory response in the body in the hours following it's ingestion. I'd encourage you to make the switch like Bill Clinton did if you haven't already. Hell, I didn't get on it until after Bill did, but he was right. Also, Dr. Weil don't lie brothas

Budlover, I now sometimes average less than a half O a month; I have no Cannabinoid Hypermesis problems (nausea, stomach discomfort at night and/org morning) anymore. Your situation clearly makes it it a challenge, but I know that you'll be able to find a point where you feel good again. Moderation and a healthy cannabinoid system are key.
