Garbage Can Grow (heat issues)

I've recently created a garbage can grow box. It has a volume of 3.5 cubic feet (30" tall by circular diameter of
The sides of the can are all covered with reflective HVAC ducting tape.

I have 5 small seedlings about 1-2 inches tall growing in it right now under two 23W CFL bulbs...They are about 8-10 inches away from tops of seedlings.
The temperature in there remains steady at 77-78 Faranheit.

I've been wanting to up the lighting to four 23W CFL bulbs but when I tried to do so...the temp rose to 89-90 Farenheit in a matter of hours. There is currently a small circulation fan pushing air around the garbage can.The fan actually seems like it might be pushing the hot air produced by the bulbs down towards plant level :/

I just went out and bought a small PC fan rated at 37CFM that I plan to put near the bulbs( all the bulbs are quite close to one another) so that it can exhaust some heat produced by the bulbs.

Will this fan exhaust enough air?

Any suggestions on bringing the temps down in my garbage can?

Thanks in advance if you choose to reply!

Pull the air straight from the top. So that way, hot air immediately gets vented out and replaced with cool air from passive intakes at plant level.

Heres the diagram
good idea for stealth.

if there are 4 massive intakes then surely thats a light leak and also ingress problem ?

surely these light leaks kinda defeat the stealth factor of having it in a garbage can ?

im prob missing something ??

Haha yeah it's quite a stealthy little grow.....There is light that leaks from the holes in the can but it's not an issue since the only reason I made this set up was for the compact nature of it..not the stealth factor

Here's a pic of the plants so far...they are 23 days old

Squidbilly...as of right now the trash can they're in doesn't have any ventilation system...there is a small fan on the lid inside pushing air around inside the can and some new air coming in passively as a result of this.

My plants are only under two 23W CFL's and I'm amazed at the rate they are growing...they will be transferred outdoors in a month or so for the summer

Those plants look really good for their age and for being in soil (or is that a coco mix?). Nice job!
