Fresh Frozen for ISO / QWISO / QWET

Hey guys and gals, former member here but had a few questions about this topic so I figured I'd come back to ask. I tried to do some research but can't quite find the answers I'm looking for.

So, here's the question - Have you ever used fresh frozen material to make your ISOHO? I've been making ISO hash oil for years, but always used dry product. I'm wondering how the end result will be with fresh product? Since the water content is so high is it always going to turn into the black/green goop? Or, will an amber/shatter appearance be attainable?

Thanks in advance for any and all positive feedback.

Also, don't feed me your line of BS about how ISO is toxic. iso is easily removed from the end product. Thanks again!

Here is my plan-
I have 1 plant outdoor and want to be able to process it quickly. I won't have time to dry and cure my product so this seemed like a logical way around it.
i will have quite a bit of material as the plant was started back in September of last year.
I plan to trim the buds nicely and use the stems and leaves for a separate extraction from the bud material.
I know to freeze the iso beforehand and the green matter.Which will result in less uptake of chlorophyll/waxes/lipids blah blah blah
Let me know what you think....?

Fresh frozen makes the best extract.

Will amber shatter be attainable?
Certainly.. but if thats what your after, this isnt the best route..might as well do a dry run, fresh frozen is harder to do anyway

Aww, c'mon qwizoking. You're the one I thought would have some info on this. What makes the fresh frozen harder to do? As I said, drying isn't really an option for me. I might be able to get 2 or 3 days of drying in, but I'm not trying to speed dry the green material. I'm pretty confident in my extraction skills ISO.

Its definately a fine line. Anytime I run fresh frozen I cut my soak time in half and do two runs keeping separate.

I normally do 3 washes for 30 seconds a piece ( the last one usually comes out pretty dark ). Should I just cut to 15 seconds per wash? I feel 3 washes pretty well insures I've collected 95%+ of the desired material. First run is intact, second (and third) run are broken up by hand.

I agree with almost everything you do except the third run. For fresh frozen I usually do a 15-20 second run then a 2nd run for 30-40 seconds.

As noted, you will need to extract at low temperatures to keep the chlorophyll and water locked up in ice. Isopropyl is deeply in love with them both.

Easier with a non polar solvent with less of an affinity for them.

With Iso I usually extract at 0F. I start with a 30 second soak and adjust the second based on the color of the first.

There is also a technique by which the chilled Iso is poured through an insulated packed column of frozen material and shut off as the color greens at the discharge.
