wondering if you guys follow chart through harvest with the hydro line? chart call for grow big all the way to harvest.. wondering if i should stop using the grow big after stretch in 12/12 as it contains alot of nitrogen..

I have followed the chart all the way through, just at 2/3 it recommends. I have been adding it all the way and my plants look good. Actually it said to stop using it while I add beastie blooms but my plants freaked and when I added grow big back in they heeled quickly. I never have stopped using grow big after veg before but right now I'm in week 7 of flower and I havent stop using it. My advice do what you will be comfortable with, try not using it and if you think your plant looks stress add it back in. Just follow what the chart says. My buds look good and have bulked up.

thanks for the reply.. ive always followed the charts in soil however this is my first time in hydro.. the chart says to continue grow big but then when you read under the description on the fox farms website for grow big it says to stop using after your see flowers and just use bb,tb.. ill pry keep using it according to chart..

Also idk if you have it or not but don't use sledge hammer, just use ph balanced water every two weeks. Also when you ph your solution you want to be around 5.8 to 6 that will influence the availability of the nitrogen, So it counter balances what grow big contains.

thanks for the reply, i dont use sledge only the trio.. and big bloom has a small amount of nitrogen in it so ill just discontinue the grow big.. the chart shows to use grow big through veg but when you read the info on grow big from fox farm website it says discontinue after you see flowers..

IIRC it was Advanced Nutrients that busted the myth awhile back about not using Nitrogen in flowering. It's true your plants don't need as much, but you do a lot better if you make sure you still give them some. You might cut back, but don't cut it off. And the 2/3rds strength recommendation is a good one. I run my Advanced Nutes at 2/3 to 3/4 strength depending on strain. Just one thing, keep a close eye on your reservoir with the FF hydro nutes. I kinda think they're borrowing heavily from the soil formula on that one and it doesn't seem to run very clean for me. Fox Farm is really more a soil company than hydroponics, IMO.
