Hi Guys,

Really quick to clear some confusion on my end, I am using Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom in my AeroGarden, Week 1 says 1tsp per gallon of Grow Big and 2tsp per gallon of Big Bloom.

Does this mean I add both Grow Big and Big Bloom? :joint:

Thanks in advance

week one schedule says 2tsp of grow big and 1tsp of big bloom

i recommend if starting with seedlings or clones only use 1/2 strength of this dosage

Honestly... I've used soil and rockwool... and only began nutes after a couple weeks b/c strains react differently through growth with nutes... I start at 1/4 strenth and then work my way up if they accept it well a day or two after.

this is true, it also depends on the size of the seedlings, the color too, if it is yellowing, its dying for nutes, if the stem is purple, it wants nutes, those are signs of deficiencies, try 1/4 or 1/2, i personally think 1/2 is fine if you have RO water, 1/4 if using tap or filtered (brita type)

Some places say one thing and another might say something else. When I grew with FoxFarm I could get told one thing on the back of the bottle and something else completely on FoxFarm's schedule at their website. I mean a 100% difference! Exactly like this situation - 1 tsp vs 2 tsp. Kinda of a big difference and not a good sign of how much effort they put into their nutes, IMO. I still use their soil though.

I made the move to Botanicare and haven't looked back. I couldn't be happier now.

on the back of their label is says for reccirulating systems to use 2tsp/gal, thats obviously the starting dosage, you go up from there, most people know that you increase the dosage by 1tsp/gal each water cycle but not to do more than 6tsp/gal

however i do use similar products as botanicare, i use a silica product and a mag product (similar to epson salt) i don't use these products until veg, don't use anything except micro and NPK on seedlings

I don't know which nute you are referring too, but their schedule doesn't say anything about increasing like that.

i know it doesn't, what i was trying to imply is a seperate idea from what is on the back, that most people know what to do after the first water cycle

The back of the bottle is if you want a heavy feeding. You go by the online shedule. If it is a seedling start 1/4 strength with just big bloom as it promotes good root growth. Only use that until first true leaves show. Then add your grow big and big bloom at 1/2 strength. I grow soil and had a successful harvest in the aerogarden and about to have my second harvest out of aerogarden in bout 4 weeks. Make sure you got an airstone really helps

the back of the bottle is not just for heavy feeding, it has different feeding guidelines, and the one that i just said is for recircculating systems, see attach

yes 1/4 for seedlings

yes 1/2 @ first true leaves

go small first, you can always add more if needed, its harder to go back and flush cause you did too much than add more later

Thanks guys... I'll do 1/4 strength of grow big and 1/4 of big bloom for this 1st week. For those with Aerogardens, when you do a nute and reservoir change, do you dump the water all out then fill it back up?

yes dump it out quick rinse then add fresh nutes ph'd Watch using that grow big if you are not at first true leaves you run a real risk of problems I am just speaking from experience in aerogarden.

you are going to want to keep that 1/4 solution in the aregarden for two weeks, or if they end up growing real fast then change earlier

Hey guys I had a couple questions myself as I will be using foxfarm for my next grow! My question is to when you do water your plants, how much water do you use for each plant, I mean do you just pour enough water to when it start comming out of the bottom of the pot or what? I know its probably been asked a couple times but just needed that cleared up! Thanks all!!

well your question is not exactly direct enough for me to understand at what period you are talking about. Are you talking during seedling stage, or during veg and bloom?

what kind of system are you using? if using something like DWC all you need to do is water until the roots hit the DWC water. If you are watering a plant set in rockwool cube then you'll want to just provide it with enough water until it is moist, only water twice a day, once in the morn and again 8 hours later

during veg your roots should be sucking from the res

That's how I do it. Ensures a thorough watering. Good luck!
