it always amazes me all the colors this plant can come in and all the changes it can do. its -14 outside snowing like crazy. my plants been a purple color but as the cold days keep going with her in the greenhouse she keeps getting darker and darker, now her purple is almost black will post pictures later when storm dies down

well what i found today was with the color change and the cold shes making resin like mad now big increase in trichome concentration, i think its from her trying to protect herself from the cold as im doing the best to keep her warm shes becoming more aromatic. i am waiting to see some amber but she just keeps getting way more snow covered and i thought she was covered before the cold. tomorrow will be 9 weeks since i noticed flowering so it could be at 10-11 weeks right now i was told she would be done at 6-7 weeks. as of now this is a experiment to see what the cold will do as i hope shes done soon as my greenhouse was not made to be running in this cold literally made with cow body bag plastic

Less chlorophyll (green) in later stages of flowering gives anthocyanins (purpling) the chance to emerge.

Not to rain on the parade but just my experience with overnight temps in the 45-50 deg range it seems like they may get frostier than at 60 but Im not convinced this equates to an increase in potency? Looks can be deceiving. With the color change Id be more curious what your light spectrum is, what supplimental light? I associate uv (and possibly blue) with purpling, have not seen black, but also have been cutting out uv during final weeks.

Strong work there btw!

will post pics of the end product when i have some i ended up getting 13 1 quart mason jars 3 pint jars and one half pint from her. very dense rock hard buds and they have only been in the jar curing for 4 days. i love the high i have a lil half pint jar that i put to smoke from well the rest cures and finishes. it smells and tastes better every day as the fresh weed taste starts to go away and its flavors take more of a hold. white ash but if it's a bit moist it will burn bad and a lil darker
its crystally as fuck it. i love all the colors of the buds, its not harsh has a vary nice high that happy smiley high. out of everything i have grown this is my favorite plant cant wait for the end product, i wish i could let everyone try this

it was all grown under the sun no extra lighting. most of the purpling started before the cold but the black came in after the drop to about -10 -14 outside and with the resin incresse and i dont know what the temps inside the greenhouse where but it was warm lowest my guess would be 0c
when i was saying potency i was meaning that she doubled if not more the amount of resin heads that she had before the cold. i watched her everyday i could and she had a steady amount of resin head and as soon as it was too cold to keep her alive with heaters she covered even some of the fan leaves with resins before this plant i never seen that they popped up so fast
