Hey I have found about four fungus gnats on my soil. I have a good idea how to get rid of them by letting top 3 inches of soil dry out and get some sticky traps to keep numbers down.the only other problem is I have spotted these tiny little white crawling bugs no bigger than a pin head maybe smaller, crawling on the surface. I tried to capture one to have a look under microscope but they are so small it's nearly impossible my 1st guess is soil might but I'm not sure anyone have any ideas or close up pictures of these.

This pic is fungus gnat larvae. You can put a small raw potato wedge on the soil and these guys will eat and attach to it in 4 hours for you to ID better. If you have a 30X loupe (for trichomes) you can use that to ID your bugs. Or grab some scotch tape and tap the soil with that, then check 'em out under the scope. I'm currently going through gnats (either fungus or root aphid), but I don't see any larvae in my soil. I treated for fungus gnats though with hydrogen peroxide (1 to 4), and will do the yellow sticky tape thing. Hope that helps!

If there aren't any larvae, you could research springtails and thrips about the tiny little white crawling bugs. Cheers!

They don't look like either of them hard to see though really hard to catch as they are tiny I will jus leave it a few days and see if they mature into something else or get larger

Have a Google image look at
FERMENTATION MITES

AKA

MOLD MITES.

I've seen an explosion of these critters lately in grows as they are a part of the decomposition process in soils etc.

Maybe so but not a pest.

Part of the composting cycle.
