I know some of you are fans of the Coleman Cooler Reservoir as am I. These are called Coleman "stackables" Check out this link to a neat little reservoir. On my coolers I just drill net pot hole into the lids, some take the lids off and put insulation. Either way these are super cool, long and short, white reflective tops, perfect for a single or two plant DWC of 6 gallons.

I thought about building one using a cooler. I use a dremel bit for cutting plastic, looks like a drill bit, cuts through coolers like butter. Plus there is a drain plug on the bottom that will make changing the water a breeze.

This photo doesn't do it justice, they are real short and long, the problem with the bigger Coleman's is that you have to put more solution in them than you need so your expenses go up. The benefit to the bigger reservoirs is more stable PH though. The only down fall to this cooler I see is a lack of drain plug. But I drain all of my reservoirs with a pump anyway. Cheers

I like that it's stackable. This cooler could be a res and you could stack another on top as a tray for drip or flood.

Thanks for the post.

hey guys got to chime in here i do love the cooler the fact its stackable doesnt really matter with dwc but reps for link. but the res for a dwc is the easiest and cheepest thing to aquire. dont know if you've considered this but if you have no problem making the lids there are no limits for instance i use for my dwc res a childs paddling pool fits into a meter square wood frame cost me 2.98 from asda lol oh and 3.99 for the water pump to empty. the lids is made from some mylar stretched over a frame my fill line is marked at 48 litres but could hold more than double that. does a wonderful dwc sog from cutting to harvest in one tank ph is constantly stable apart from maybe the first 24 hours after res change
