Hello to all my fellow growers im not to sure if this topic was covered on this site but i would like to just have one thread where we can briefly post up some simple and some expert foliar feeding recipes.

This is what i am currently foliar feeding my girls, voodoo juice, organic flowering nutes and cal/mag nutes in very small amounts every morning. also i think i might be adding some overdrive in the next 3 4 weeks.

Since using this mix i noticed the bud development accured much earlier in fact the same strain took 45 days to look the way it looks now on day 40.

Please share your special mix im sure that mine isnt great since ive only been growing under a year, any extra info would be much appreciated. Thanks

Good post, I had the same question. I am using the full Advanced Nutrients line and a good recipe would be awesome. Always feed with lights off right? Do you feed the same time you water feed?

I am the same with advanced nutes
grow/micro/bloom B52, big bud, voodoo juice, superthrive, root grow, maxicrop liquid seaweed
I make my foliar with superthrive and seaweed

I feed the girls in the morning and sometimes mid day i never have no leaf or nute burn , i just suggest when u make ur mix go easy first time around and write down and then add more if you think the girls need more.I feed the girls every other day but foliar feed everyday. It will really come in hand when its later in the plants life when the root are not as receptive to uptake nutes.

BcGuy01 - nice line up of nutes must of cost a pretty penny, ive read that adding 1 - 2 ml of voodoo juice per liter of foliar spray will help the break down the nutes and allow for easier and quicker absorbtion so ill be trying that myself ill report if i can notice a difference.

Huh. How didi miss this one? last run I used liquid light and flOronectar mixed with DM penetrator.' Twice a week, always with the lights on. I never really understood why you would feed with the lights off. When the lights are on and temperature is high the stomata should be nice and oPen. If your not using a penetrator or at the very least ore surfactant you are likely wasting your money as you have to get your solution through the cuticle of the leaf.

thanks LegallyFlying for the info, i agree with you feeding in the mroning before lights on is only ethical if you have to much heat and may result in leaf burn other wise i do feed them mid day. I also will be looking into DM penetrator that sounds very interesting. I have been looking for something that help the leafs absorb the nutes better like a watering agent but its a bit hard to find in spain. Anyone know a few alternatives to DM penetrator?

speed, when you use a surfactant or penetrator you can foliar with the lights on. the surfactant decreases surface tension to the point that large droplets that would magnify the light and burn your plants will not form.

I have used many different forms of surfactant in an agriculture setting but not in the grow room. The DM stuff works AWESOME (the leaves will be dry in less than 5 minutes!) but it is crazy expensive. I am going to try some of the non-ionic surfactants used for herbicide application (they work as penetrators and pass throught he waxy barrier) and see how they work.

do u guys have problems with residue on the walls or anywhere for that matter from the overspray. im thinkin its such a weak solution it wont matter. im excited to start spraying nutes

legallyflying..... what do u mean by crazy expensive ? also have you ever tried foliar feeding 3 to 5 times a day?

Sr. Greensea .....With time you will have some build up on the walls it cant be seen unless you never clean but its always good to keep the area clean i grow in a secret jarden tent so when i flush or repot i like to wipe everything down, nothing like having a bug attack to slow down the grow.

my last grow (outdoor), i use DGs neem oil mix with pro-tekt during veg stage, i spray in the early morning like 6 am for once every two weeks....when my lady plant started flower, i stopped spray altogether, because i dont want to spray on the mature buds that will have a bad taste, instead i will water into pot with neem oil mix with pro tekt ( neem oil once per two weeks, pro tekt twice a week with bloom booster)

You can use quinoa water (from rincing it before cooking) as a surfactant, not the best but its free and it makes you eat healthier :) I use 1 cup of quinoa for 1.5 liters of water, shake it really good, then I filter the quinoa out, I use the water for foliar feed along with nutrients.

you'll get build-up regardless of concentration. always leave enough room around the girls for house-keeping.

Today I spray my pots and clay pebbles, main stalks and basically everything in tent except buds/leaves with neem as a preventive. Depends on stage and reason. This latest grow the clones my mate grew for me had root rot on the tiny roots they had so I spray roots before transplant then spray leaves daily with colloidal nano silver, amazing results. Massive root system quick and the deep dark green of the clones ooozed health. I'm in week 6 of a 8-10week flowering hybrid iced grapefruit and I've been using A.N bud factor X for first time, too tight too pay for crab shells! I mix 2ml of that with 2ml of AN nevana , 1ml diamond Necta and Epsom salt or calmag/iron mix by humbolt secret depending on mg needs. I used to put a drop of super thrive but stopped when I realised the auxins that can be useful in veg slow flowering time and can lessen yield . Late veg/ switch spray is different this time I used AN (freebies) root tribe and foliar sprayed along with enzymes humic acid , salisilic acid and a secret ingredient I always use since discovering that slows stretch and speeds flowering time. Bit of evolution sometimes for recovery but only once a week max. It's strange stuff not sure about it. I often spray after or alternative days between my bud factor X mix and colloidal silver as a preventative of mould mildew as well as general health . Ps normally use RAW yucca as a surfactant but AN nevana has it in as well as Chilean soap bark. I'm new . Hi. Don't hate me

After spraying lolIMG_3857.JPG
It's impossible to show the state of my leaves after the heat wave temps and daily spraying with lights to close. I use a lec / CDH 315w daylight bulb in central hood and it messes up video or photos!

Been using liquid kelp for ever. Cheap and is acidic. Use Alaska brand from local store. Mix as directed spray when lights out. See a bug and switch to Neem oil. Buds really love micro nutes.

Hi dude I've just done a run with the complete advanced nutrients line (what a lot of bottles!) and nevana has Chilean soap bark and yukka in its extensive ingredients. So I always include that in my foliar feed. I'm 8 weeks into a 8/10 week strain and I wouldn't normally risk spraying this far into bud but the benefits outway the mold risk as I've cranked the humidity down to 30% to aid frosting. Plants should ideally be sprayed with lights on 10mins before they go off and same before they come on . Raise lights up high whilst doing is good. My favourite surfactant is yukka powder by RAW but I spent too much on the AN to buy more products as well!
