you should always flush at a few different points, no matter the grow medium.. Nuts cause a salt build up all over the soil and roots....flushing gets ride of all that nasty build up.....gets the girls all rejuvenated for optimum nut UPTAKE.. yummy

Some Soils you should never flush?? No, flushing every 2 to 3 weeks is very very good. Get yourself some CLEAREX, works really good and it dosent hurt the plants. Flushing the girls reinvigerates the plants and roots, clearing any salt build up. therefor opening the rots to efficient nut up take
Your the first person I've heard say to flush every now and then. But it does make sense, its like a cleanse for the plant. Humans need cleanses multiple times in their life to get the body working in tip top shape, so yea I guess a plant would need multiple cleanses in their life.

Leaching the soil with rainwater is a good thing and should be done once in a while to get rid of excess salts.

"Flushing" just before harvest is the myth I was talking about. One way to find out, flush one and not the other and then smoke a sample of each. Take note of plant health and production too.
