Flushing plants with water in the middle of a grow.

I am in the 6th week of bloom with an ebb and flow system using AN nutes. Everything is monitored daily. Plants look ok and are over 4 foot high-Casey Jones-sativa mostly. They have stopped growing this past week. Should I have been doing a water flush each week to avoid salt buildup or is that too often?

Thanks.

I wouldn't quite call this "flushing" but rather feeding with straight H2O. i have heard of people feeding their plants with straight H2O once every four feedings (and they were feeding 4 times a day so once a day). All this really does is take the chemical taste down a couple notches from the final product but if that is your goal you should be flushing quite alot. You don't need to go through the process of "flushing" but if you want to avoid too much salt build up this would be a good idea. I doubt that salt buildup is what is causing your plants to stop growing though. Your plants may just have a short flowering time. Check the resin production. If it is continuing to produce resin than shouldnt be any problems the plants just must be close to done growing. That's my two sense for you. You should provide your growing medium for others to be able to help you as much as possible.

yah, i also think that using some straight water once a week or so is a good idea to help get rid of any nutes (salts) that may have built up some.. like the above poster has said, theres no reason to go crazy with a complete flush, just a feeding with straight water should be plenty..
g/l with the rest of the grow..

i usally flush mine every 2 weeks from start to finish it will save u the trouble by adding more taste to your babies and not have to deal with lock outs or going over the nutes
