I have read that some people like to flush every 7 days or so and i want to know how necessary it is? i have 2 week old plants in veg right now and am wondering if when i start giving nutes if i should flush weekly? i have a gallon of clearex i can use. if i should be flushing, what is the best way to go about doing it and for how long? i also use ro water. any help is appreciated and +rep. thanks.

oh yes im also doing aero with a 14 gallon res with about 8 gallons of water. i am going the stinkbud method. i am using the vegger right now and will move to the 6 foot fence posts for flower, but i use a 14 gal res instead of the 18 he uses.

In Veggie state flushing isnt necessary, if you want to be certain your plants are getting what they need and have the water by all means flush every week, i flush every two weeks or so, mainly in flower because the nutes fluctuate so much

I flush before harvest. Flushing isn't necessary unless you are experiencing plant problems. You're changing the res every week anyway so why strip the plant from nutrients until you are gonna harvest. Your not gonna feed your kids Monday through Saturday and tell them to go hungry Sunday.

Flushing your Hydro system is something you should do regularly I do it every other res change, your plant's grow medium can always benefit from flushing. Buildup on the medium can lead to burn.

I flush 4 parts water to soil, aerate it before you flush. Tested my tap water its at 6.0-6.5 its what i use, nothing else.if your tap isnt well on ph itll cost a bit of cake to get dist water.... but yeah dont flush unless you have problems or lose track of where your plants are. If your pots don't have that good of drainage you risk root rot and drowning your plant. I let my soil dry a little till my bucket is "light to the lift" before giving them new water with new nutes.

I flush at day 30, then again for a few days at the end.
