Flush vs No Flush

there are 2 schools of thought. Many say flush 2x's container size within a 2 week period for better taste and "salt" build-up --- while others say they can't tell difference in taste and don't consider flushing

I was raised by a single mother. I had two older sisters in the house also. I sware to god, I would practically get an ass whooping if I forgot to flush.
Then fast forward to adulthood. I did a grip of time in jail. It was there where I learned the correct way to go about flushing.
Flush rite when you start pooping/farting. No one wants to hear that shit. I periodically keep flushing(probably about 6 times)until done shitting, because it also helps with the smell.
Am I for flushing? Fuck yeah I am.
