Flush or not

watering with just water the last week, IS NOT flushing/leeching, BTW
How is it not if you're not giving it any, or very little, nutes? sure, it is using the last of it's stored up nutes, but it also does leech waste back into the water. What is it considered then?

The purpose of rotation is, certain crops take up different amounts of nutrient than others

When the field is depleted by corn after time, hay is sown

Hay also leaves different nutrients available in soil at the end of harvest when what's left decays oveer autumn

Doing this varies the nutrients available in the soil, allowing it to recover
I sow soy......Beans FIX N in the soil.....Corn requires lots of N. I shoot poop, NO hydrocarbon based ferts touch my fields,,,ever!

Hay is sown and is mowed several times a year and runs in the field for years at a time before needing a replant.

Corn dies off just like people do,,,,naturally.....Monsanto controls the Soy industry, NOT the corn industry. AND they still suck!!!!

At any rate,,,,,"flushing does nothing to help your end result" ...PROPER CURE, PROPER CURE,,PROPER CURE!!!!

I flush to remove salts from the media and wait till I see the plant start consuming its self before chop this is to remove stored excess nutrients from within the leafs and ensure that the plant has no nuted water inside still ensuring a chemical free smoke :)
I smoked muted buds that shits not nice lol tonsillitis tackle if u ask me.

Also if u feeding correctly the plant should start consuming its self after around 2 to 3 days if its taking longer likely overfeeding has been occurring just my opinion tho

It doesn't make it better as that's only preference of taste but its a fact that if u feed till the day you chop the plant will still have nutrient water in its shoots/stems just like what's in ya res now I mean I wouldn't roll a j and dip it in mutes let it dry and smoke it! That's crazy lol

We don't smoke the leaves :p and nutrients are not flushed out by adding water, nutrients will always be in the plants no matter what is done, it's just how plants operate. No amount of flushing can rinse out the nutrients in the plant. A properly fed plant that hasn't been over fed, a proper dry and cure, is what makes top shelf smoke. It's just science. We can't rid nutrients by watering, it doesn't work like that.

Quick tip, if you feed the hydro plants properly, taper off the nutes towards the end (if ppm isn't going down daily it's too high), lower the N in your nute regime, you do not have to flush hydro. There are immobile elements in the plant that will never ever be rid from the plant by any means. You're plants are supposed to be eating what you feed them. Also, when you "flush" the plant goes in to shockand iinstead of those ferts you want to leave, they go to the part of the plant (smallest leaves, buds) , so you're actually sending more nutes into your buds.

I love hydro don't get me wrong and its a lot easier to take control if you have an issue, but man do I suck at adding the proper nutrients without burning my plant. LoL

Currently I'm growing in a small tent to soil is a better option for me, but when I do get the chance to move and get more space I will more than likely go back to hydro as my yields are far greater and the smoke, I like better as well. Soil seems to add that dank which sometimes make me cough.

Even still I've never really noticed any harsh smoke or ruined flavor after a good cure, so IMO the cure is where its at no matter if you "flush" or whatever. I say its all a matter of preference and I'm the only one who smokes my weed so eh.

What I wouldn't give to be able to grow anything decent in soil, I'm the opposite and have many problems if given soil in a container. In the ground, it's another story, but I kill most anything in soil indoors lol. In hydro, I just start low with nutes and work my way up. It never fails, start at 250ppm and slowly add 50ppm every 2-3 days, always watching for the ppm to drop a bit. If it's dropping, you can keep raising it. I've had plants top out at 500ppm in flower, but I've had plants like the ones I'm growing now, at 1000ppm in veg. I don't really look at the numbers to judge, just the plants, they'll let you know when they want more nutes.

And I totally agree with the personal preference. Placebo effects are totally real and unexplainable :p I used to flush a long time ago, but I can't tell the difference, some claim they can, but I think it's just the Placebo effect. The thought of chemicals being in the bud is enough to trick the mind.

I grew a strain that was gifted to me that had GDP and purple voodoo and had a strong grape flavor and the last pineapple express I had tasted like fruit loops. I also love to grow 12/12 from seed, so not sure if it would work better for hydro that way or not?
