Im just thinking bout getting one of those conversion bulbs tho, better off with the conversion honestly.
by flowering with hps u are giving ur plants the light spectrum that they use in nature to reproduce.
if halide is all u have than thats what u use i guess its not a total failure especially if u have alot of grow ^ space.
I personally wont use halide again in flower any longer than i see actual flowers beggining (actual white hairs on flowers).
But i am still curious to see whats going to happen with my frankenstien, im predicting colas of at least a foot and bigger.

heres what im talking about this plant still prolly has a few weeks, right now the cola in this pic is lready 11 inches tall @ 6 weeks flower

Just switched to 12/12 tonight and started flowering nutes at 1/3 strength. Flowering with the MH bulb until i can grab the one pictured! Love the hookup for the bulb. I was looking for a long time for one and thanks to this lovely cyber world, i now know where one is! thanks buddy!

haha cant wait to sex these babies.. I hear they might be some Lemon Skunk seeds!!!

I flowered for 16 days with MH before getting the bulb, I can't say it slowed them down. My buds dense. You'll be happy with HPS. I am. bongsmiliebongsmilie

thats prolly close to how long that plant was under halide till i put it under the hps mainly, theres an hps lamp directly above it but u cant see in the pic. deffinetely anther thing i would tell people is that if ur gowing to keep a strictly flower room make sure u have enuff hps lighting to flower ur plants! i have grown completely out of hps space now as u can see in the pics i have had to compensate with cfls over my colas. guess its not best to keep cutting and cloning out of control after all! my buggest colas under cfl right now are coming in right around 6 inches so is it dramatic how important what light u flower ur plants in.

you think with some CFL's inthe red spectrum i'd be okay??? Or if i added my 150watt HPS.. but that would make my shit really hot!!! And also i worry of an overload of power on a single circuit.. a 400watt, 150watt, and 4 air pumps... alot of power in 1 room! 2 outlets though.

I think ur going to be ok on that circuit myself.. U would be better off in flower with the 150 hps above the plants and a few 2700 k w2 watt cfls directly above the colas. And you can actually place a 150 hps alot closer to yur plants and utilize the lumens. With a small fan for circulation.

I think im going to find a way to mount my 150 HPS along with my MH in the same cab.. I think that'll be my best bet.

but then a strictly veg room is out of the question.. lolz

not out of the question totally. use the good lights for flower and pick up a few cfl's for a cheap veg setup. its amazing how well plants veg even without tons of light. more light is always better but you can get away with letting the weak lights do the light duty work and letting the big good lights do the heavy duty work.

Shiawt! Ive gotta say im completely dissapointed with my self for introducing my halide lamp into my flower room and feel prolly how a lesbian may feel if her behotch left her for a dude!
Could be from many variables but I am very sad to say that ive found balls on an otherwise completely non seed producing batch. And the other Plant I gave m/h has grown completely intolerable to my grow hieght requirements.!
Def going to get the conversion bulb to utilize my m/h lamp and ballast but never again will blue spectrum enter my flower room!
