hmm lets hope everything will work out then. When you see those white hairs "pistils" that means the plant is started to flower right?

Thats right the light has just started to go into flowering cycle the past couple of weeks. Usually I see them about the first week of Aug. which I only have one that hasn't started as of yet. But it is the smallest one I have out. Hopefully thats the one the damn deer eat! lol Good lick and keep us posted.

I read in another thread that 12/12 should be used to flower indoor plants, and that there are other factors that cause outdoor plants to flower, such as temperature and humidity. If outdoor plants would only flower in 12/12, you'd get bud it freakin December, which doesn't make any sense because temperatures would be well below freezing.

I live in Maine, and my plants began flowering the last couple days of July. How logn does it usually take the plant to be ready for harvest after it begins flowering? I'm asking because I am going down to college on August 28th (I know they won't be ready by then), and I'm coming back on October 5th for a few days. I'm hoping to harvest at that time. Is that a reasonable or average time to harvest?

Keep in mind that 12-12 is the ideal flowering and in ont. we start at about 14 1/2 hour light (solid light ) day at the beginning Aug. then we start to get less by the min every day. As for Oct 5th. this will depend on the flowering time of the strain, if they are outside that would give them aprox. 9 weeks that maybe going to long for some and not enough for others hopefully your's is right in the middle?? Have fun and good smoking!

Thanks for the info.

My plants are sativas, so I think that flowering may take a little longer. Hopefully it works out.

Same here. Last night and the night before were cold as hell. At this rate there's gonna be a foot of snow on the ground when I want to harvest.
