Your best bet is to get a pocket microscope from radio shack for $13.00 so you can view the trichomes, its the only way to know for sure. I have a BlueberryXCindy99 cross that took 10 weeks to finish. Its kickass weed and everyone loves the stuff. If I did not have the scope I would have hacked it at 8 weeks and never got what I have now! In the last 2 weeks the trichomes swelled up till you could not see many hairs anymore. It was amazing to watch and now all my smoke comes out good because I know when its done. Do youself a favor and get the scope. The trichomes start out clear and are supposed to be 1/2 milky and 1/2 amber for the best stone. More clear for a more up buzz and more amber for a more sedative type buzz. The more amber the more the thc is breaking down. So dont wait too late. If the trichs stay clear to milky and dont seem to want to go amber look for leaning trichomes, thats also a sign it done and starting to degrade. Good Luck whatever you decide. Peace Out!

What kind of set up do you have? Looks to me like you have a few weeks. The hairs should start to turn red or amber and the bud should be covered with shiny lil crystals of pure joy. I dont think you need anything but the good old eyes and a set of nostrles to tell when its time to cut her down. Best bet is when you think shes done wait a lil longer and dont forget to flush her two weeks before you cut her. Oh yeah watch out with you nutes if those sun leaves burn to much your plant will be skimpy!Leaves = LIFE

Bubbas right, the best way to tell is to look at the "crystals" which are trichromes, cant see color without a 30x microscope. Checking the calyxes is the oldskool way of doing it, but its nowhere near as precise. It also looks like a sativa, which will have less trichromes, and usually take a week or so longer than theyre indica counterpart.
