Well it's been a little over two months since I started my first grow. Decided yesterday that it was about time to flower, so I set my lights to 12/12 and went out to pick up some Big Bloom/Tiger Bloom.

What I'm growing are two different "headies" strains from this area. Originally I had started with 16 seedlings from an outdoor batch that had come through town. They were under 2 2ft fluorescent strip lights for about two weeks (24/0). As that lighting was somewhat poor, only ten of the original 16 made it till the third week. From that third week until the sixth week the ten remaining plants we're under a 150w HPS lamp. During that sixth week I picked up another 150w HPS lamp, so since then my plants have been under 300w worth of HPS lighting. Just two weeks ago I picked out all of my males leaving 4 very healthy females. That same week I was given a clone that wasn't doing so well, I've been taking care of it since then and it's doing a hell of a lot better.

I've got them all in FFOF and I'm starting them of flowering nutes this week. The tallest is 2'9", the clone is just over 1'. I'll post up any pics of any noticeable progress over the next few weeks.

Till next time, Keep toking

Well it's day 7 of flowering, thought I'd post up some pics for anyone following, feel free to comment, any input's much appreciated.

We're down to four females, our smallest ended up being a male :-(. Our remaining females are doing very well, the tallest being 3' 1". Each has a it's own style of growth and seem to carry different characteristics of the strain (as show by the two pictures of plant tops).

We've been running into a bit of a bug problem. Some gnats and a strange brown moth have been eating away a few leaves. We picked up some gnat traps (yellow posts in the pictures) and some Gnatrol to combat them. We're in the process of watering each plant three times with a 2 Tsp/Gal solution of the Gnatrol, after which all larva or dirt dwelling insects should be fried.

Over the week we've been feeding the plants with Big Bloom, and just starting feeding them with a Tiger Bloom/ Big Bloom solution.

I'll probably post some more pics next Saturday, might consider a 13/11 tip I saw in high times:weed: .
