talking to him about a solution, he proposed new reflectors,
unnamed (1).jpg
but this will not solve, as the issue is in the gap between the sink and the adapter

waiting for reply as for now

Nope. All I had to do was file down the plastic on my chip lok holders wire harness and it fit. The new ones will work. You're saying IDEAL has made an error? Jerry does NOT manufacture the adapters. As you can see if you look at it, the IDEAL logo is stamped into the adapter itself. They're direct from them.

(my reflector fits, that's not the problem)
yeah, Ideal did a shitty job as you can see

I showed this to Jerry a moth ago and now he replied with new reflectors.
I though he wanted to fix this issue but seems that he thought I was talking about the
reflector not fitting.. (seems a cummon issue)
I know he can't fix a holder lol
but that shit is ugly so i don't care, I want this not to be an issue

Well why are you creating a thread about contacting Jerry then? Like he has any control whatsoever on what Ideal Ind does. He has fixed the problem on his end.

this is a thread to solve the issue, I brought awareness to Jerry and his customers, (we all part of the same goal duuuuuuuuh)
feel free to contribute

how come I am the only one to bring it up?
I know it's not a big issue if any at all, but it's not esthetic and shouldn't be that way.

Jerry can mold his own adapters if he wants as he did with the reflectors lol

it is wasting a tinie tiny bit.
but even if it didn't....
shouldn't be like that.

I'm glad you agree, If more people would agree
we could maybe make KB change the adapters they offer.
or find a better solution for ourselves as the community we are xd

I just wrapped double sided velcro around it. I used electrical/foil tape before that. Both work great. It's called DO IT YOURSELF. ;)

Just get better ones, ones not designed for sidelighting under cabinets, because that gap isn't the only light leak I see.

Sure, $5 for Google searches. Maybe you need different holders. Who have you been taking LED component advice from?
Oh, so now it's the holder AND the reflector that's the problem.

You really love beating this horse. Even when Ledil says their white reflector is more efficient than their silver narrower beamed reflectors, you just keep going.

I mean it really gets your goat seeing people use 90 degree reflectors, let alone white ones, let alone WHITE ONES WITH GAPS AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH....!

Sorry.

Okay, this page has connectors and reflectors. I don't know about Ideal holders, sorry.
I would not pay $5 for that search.

You failed to notice BJB doesn't make a CXB3590 holder, or that imaginary solution would be super helpful to a lot of people.

On a more serious and less smartass note, these are like 80 cent reflectors this thread is discussing. China Ledil clones that are much, much better than nothing.

True enough. Okay, no charge then. My new suggestion is aluminum tape to cover the gaps and the outside of the reflectors.

Ya I said that already...
Shit. Actually just wrapping foil around it would be less messy than the aluminum tape but I guess that's probably also what you already said. Anyway, maybe people should consider buying smaller COBs so they can have the convenience of being able to use BJB accessories. You don't actually need to use the largest ones. Could just use more smaller ones. Actually better for light distribution anyway. I guess less efficient though. Always a catch, isn't there?

Indeed there is. The 3070 apparently according to Jerry has no problem.
