Cat's are a snappen! Lots of channels and lost probably the biggest flathead i have ever had on. Threw the hook at shore. Anger followed by that all too familiar sickness lol.

out my pond saturday afternoon. i grow my own worms and grubs and have a fish feeder. they eat well.

you know I've tried ice fishing a couple of times when I was younger. Course it was on open ice, no shanty, sitting on a 5 gal bucket and windy as fuck, so not all that much fun. Looks like you got the program down pat. You anywhere you can fish for walleye?

Cold and wind suck on a frozen lake! I'd rather be outside but I hate dealing with frozen spools and guides..walleye closed 2 weeks ago,i love catching them but really love chasing blue gills and crappies in Winter.I'm lucky to have a half dozen lakes within 10 minutes that I can catch eater gills and crappies when I want and oodles of lakes within an hour to chase some bigger guys

ummmm boy, want that fresh caught fish dinner. Get out that Fry-Daddy!!

I lived in Minnesota for 4 yrs in the early '80s, did the ice fishing thing; 1st time I slipped on the ice and knocked myself out; the others I froze and caught barely alive fish lol. Don't really see it other than to get away and/or for meat.
When it wasn't frozen, it was fish abundance............and walleye!

Had fresh Black Rockfish for dinner last night.
Parmasan crusted - wow, what a treat.

When in Alaska we caught some yellow eyed Rockfish?(i think that's what they're called) bright orange with orange/red eyes?

Yes BB thats me,,and we ate the spanish mackerel that night cooked by a chef at the resort we were at

Yellow eye rockfish are the bomb to eat.
A deep water species that most sports fishermen don't bump into much.
I love them in the fry daddy with seasoned Tempura though.

I saw the recent activity over here,so I went fishing...

I would be steelhead fishing rite now, guaranteed! The weather is is absolutely beautiful in NorCal rite now, for being winter and all. Unfortunately, the lack of rain has fucked with the winter steelhead run on our rivers(the Feather being my local river).
The salmon run is going to be horrible again this upcoming season, I just know it. That Fucking Sucks!
