Thinking about taking a pack and going for a hike tomorrow. Take my pole with me. Try a few spinners. You guys got me thinking about trout.

I loved "creek busting"......when I was a kid,I used to take my favorite rod and reel,my tackle bag, pellet gun and walk the creeks.Always upstream and as far away from civilization as possible....those were the days. Not a worry in the world, the fish (guadalupe bass, black bass, catfish, carp, warmouths, crappie, perch)had never seen a lure and would strike so viciously. It was awesome!I remember catching like 3 big bass in a row,all three were fighting over my crickhopper:).Having to sneak up to the water cause the fish will see you.I grew up in Austin and there are a shit ton of creeks to fish, crystal clear natural spring water, usually the fish see you before you see them.Always by myself,no one to bother me,no one else to scare the fish,no one to babysit.....DAMN I miss that!........lol.....waked and baked!

Have a Hoppy Easter everyone!peace

Walleye, perch, northern, flats, crappie, sturgeon and smelt. Occasional brook trout for a treat. Hard to beat Walleye though.

I just noticed that it's in the background. In the circle,I'm petty sure is a 5ft water moccasin(cotton mouth), it's as big around as a coke can!
After I took the picture I walked over and it was just slithering under that big rock.Just now looking at the photos I noticed it was there......I hate snakes!!!;)Photo05070951_kindlephoto-48605744.jpg

I'm jelly as fuck !
We're doing so much work on the house this year that I've literally had no time to fish and the Salmon are flooding into the rivers as we speak.

To the non fishing, construction GWN dude I say :finger: !
Well, I guess I'm lucky to have a decent spot for bass.To be honest it's a lake in the next neighborhood, ours(only 8yrs old) has only bluegill..or perch,as we in tx call most little sunfish.I'm able to wake up @7:00a and fish for a few hrs...before it gets hot and call it a day. They don't bite after 10a...it's too f-n hot!
