First week flowering and still plagued by new growth yellowing

I'm new at this but I noticed my plants started to yellow at new growth under 4 tube 2 foot t5 I put 1 tsp. Of all 3 GH part nute
To trans to 12/12 600w HPS 6inch air cooled hood the hood is so big I will have to turn hood catie corner to fit vent for carbon filter right now temp temp is holding at 28 29 c ,4inch 190cfm inline I have two plants 3 foot,2 foot in a 3x3x8 ph is a lil low 5.6 for soil I have a watering coming up I'll adjust to 7.0 right ? i want to get some pics up let me know if I should be texting else where or how all this shit works thanks.

Yes i had exactly this issue with g13 and it took time to figure out . I bet the veg room was cooler? when you put them into flower room the temps are warmer(and its summer now) and the yellow new growth is a heat issue, you must drop the room's temp and raise lights 6" or so.

Some minor yellowing can happen but not to this extent. And another thing if you dont fix the issue those very nice plants will be stunted.

Has anyone else had this problem? The only thing that makes me think it might not be the light too close is that i see this yellowing occuring on small growth tips well below the canopy - they are completed shaded yet show the same yellowing

Now im 100% sure im right as all new growth was yellow on mine to, not just the tops.

Yea all of my bud sites are a bit yellow I have power kush it's a runt compared to my 3ft blueberry gum but all have yellowing at new groth plant is strong otherwise.

I have been having the same problem with a white russian strain I am scrogging. I know the one plant had some PH problems and actually my PH meter has been confirmed screwy, borrowing a friends while my new one gets here. My soil PH is a bit low around 6.2, been raising it since I got a working meter. I suspect the problem is strain specific in my case, this white russian has always been fussy for me. I am on the second week of flower and have just finished doing some flushing to fix the ph and some folier spray of epsom salts for good measure. The color seems to be returning so I will hit them with some half and half veg/bloom nutes soon. Was in sulfur? PH? Anyone have guesses?

Also, I can tell you that your light isn't too close to cause problems, unless you're not running enough fans in the room. I also run a 600 HPS with an open reflector, and mine runs about 14" from the closest tops, without any problems.

Its' the nitrogen, I tell ya.lol :wink:

The yellow = nitrogen def thing has got to stop.

I totally agree. I don’t know if he’s a new grower but the lighter leaves are just a sign of vigorous new growth. Anytime a plant grows rapidly the new growth is a lighter shade. Iron def is more likely during periods of rapid growth so it could progress into that if not kept in check. I only have 5 yrs experience but I can say with certainly this is normal healthy growth. A sign of fast, vigorous growth.

I get this if my ph is high.
The sulphur, will do you good.
They love sulphur in bloom. Just add less than the bottle states.
It can really have a pleasant effect, on weight and aroma.
Try to get your root zone, just a smidgen under 6.5 ph.
IMHO your just slightly hot. Cold temps wont help that either.

The problem is with the new growth ONLY. What is happening is that the is yellowing starts at the base of the leaf, and gets lighter and lighter until by the time you're at the tips it's green again.

Now, i have had heat problems most of the grow since i wasn't running an exhaust fan. I do have a fan going now (after i put that in, their growth rate almost doubled) and the ambient temperature is good i think. It sits stable at around 75f during the day and then it drops as low as 60f overnight (according to the mix/max on my temp guage).

Any drop of liquid that goes into the soil is pH tested and adjusted. I'm well aware of the importance of pH and i really don't think its a pH problem. To be honest what i suspect is maybe the light is too close to the canopy? The tips are generally between 45 - 55cm (17 - 21 inches) below my 600watt HPS.

I've also noticed some yellowing only on the new growth on all 4 of my babies. I flipped them to flower yesterday. This is my first grow so I've been battling trying to get nutes, pH and all that in the optimum spots so my girls are 100% happy. Other than the yellowing and some slight yellowing of the tips from over feeding a little, my plants are still strong and vigorous. Growing rapidly. Im really not that worried about it honestly. Im gonna keep an eye on them but mainly just gonna let them do their thing

Same thing just happened to me today. Switched to fkower with a 24 hr dark period going into flower. Turned on the lights and all the new growth tips yellow. I actually use sulpher as an IPM, so doubt its sulpher. Lights were out, so font think it had to do with lights distance. Could be temp change maybe... as far as nuttients go I use FF OF and am about to the point where I will be adding nutrients finally. But will keep you updated on results as time goes on.
