First try with auto's - Sweet Seeds Red Poison

Well heres my first attempt with autos! I germ'd them in the ol paper towel, and within 24 hours all three had nice long taproots....never had luck like that before! All three popped the soil 4 days ago (Dec 14), so not sure about growth rate, but everything looks fine to me. I have a fair bit of experience with photo plants, so I'm excited to see how these turn out since I'd like to downsize from my large tent and just run two smaller ones. I'm growing them in Sunshine Mix #4, 3 gallon containers under a 400W MH right now. Obviously I'll switch to HPS when the time comes. Tent is 2'x2'x4'. I think a 400W should be plenty. Last pic is a photoperiod blueberry x burmese didn't mean to put it in here but too lazy to delete it hahaha.

if you got the time space and able to change your light cycles id probably go with photoperiod plants. i like messing with autos in my veg room as a bonus project and unused space.

from what I've heard they can yield enough for personal....don't think it'd be good for commercial though
I'm only trying them because my GF wanted some more colour and we picked the red poison because of it's colours

looks good placebo! How big of pots and what lights did you use? What was your timeline from seed to harvest?

well the girls turned 21 days yesterday...all three are girls, 2 are starting to show the beginnings of buds. One of em stretched like a mother, but I think they're all looking good. So far it's just been a few feeding of general hydro 2 part, watered down quite a bit.

Here they are at 4ish weeks old. Had a problem with under feeding last week, but upped the nutes, and they've bounced back nicely I think. I do love these plants, they grow so damn quick! I'm really hoping I get some nice colour in the coming weeks. 2 of the plants seem to be starting to get some really dark purple sugar leaves (hope it's genetics and not a problem!). The trichs are starting to come too, so far it looks like I'll get enough smoke to last me until my next 4 photo's are done.....hopefully!

What do you guys think?

Well here we are at 5 weeks. Buds are starting to form up nice, 1 of the 3 is definitely a little behind, but also going strong. I've adjusted my lights to 20/4, not sure if it's making a difference or not, but the buds are starting to get some really nice purple in them (I know I know, I'm a sucker for colour!). I'm still really loving these autos, starting to frost up nice, looking forward to smoking some...we'll see if all this talk of autos not being potent has any truth to it. Here some pics, what's everyone think? Lot's of yellowing going on I know, I was underfeeding until last week oops!

the babies are 6 weeks already, and growing strong. Really liking how these things grow. The tallest is around 25 inch, the shortest around 20. The purple is really coming on one of them...not sure if I`ll see any red or not though. The smell is amazing, almost like a really sweet candy smell. It smells like nothing else I`ve grown. Gonna have to order some more autos I think. I was gonna save my last 2 RP to do out in the yard, but I think I`m gonna pop em in a few weeks to get another quickie done. Now I still have to get my last 4 photoperiod plants done and I`ll be set. Anyway, heres some quick porn shots from tonight. lemme know if you guys got any q`s or c`s

Ya looks to me you have a Mg def going on. What ph are you feeding and is your run off ph correct. I first thought was just maybe a touch of a N def which wouldnt be any real big deal. But the way the leafs are yellowing isnt N def more Mg def. Also the taco looking leafs on the top and middle of the plant is another indicator. But looks like some tasty nugs.

my ph in is right around 6. I use the drops so it`s hard to tell exactly. I`ve never tested run off ph in my life, so no idea what`s coming out. Im in sunshine number 4 which has lime in it, and I`ve never really had an issue. I`ll take a measurement at next watering and see what it says. I have assumed a N def since I was really underfeeding it for the first month of it`s life hahaha.

Their Dark devil I found to be very good, I was thinking of getting some of the Red Poison. Keep us post and would love to see a smoke report when it ready. Cant wait to see how purple they turn in the next few weeks!!

ya the one is gonna be insane I`m sure. it`s brought the joy of checking on the tent up quite a bit. Everyday shows huge changes in these ones

Yeah nice plants my friend I have 6auto bubblelicious going now week 8 today. I have them in a little smaller pots but they look very similar I also underfed the first month and killed off a good bit of fan leaves but still have good looking buds. Gotta love how hearty these autos are very forgiving. Can't wait to see how they turn out they really do bulk up in these last two weeks so looking forward to some more pics

thanks Propain! Show us some porn pics!!! I do really love how hardy these plants are. Just seems like they make some nice buds regardless. I am excited for my last two RP this summer outside though since I will have one run under my belt I should really be able to pump out some nice nugs.
