First timer and using bubbleponic

I have a tough decision to make, bubblehash or oil. I'll take votes, and reasons are appreciated.

Well what ever you decide I can help you out. I have the bubble bags which if you decide to go that route I will let you use and help you make it for a small portion of finished product I think I prefer hash oil though but your going to have to make it on your deck and that needs to be cleaned first so nothing gets stuck in the oil but there is a place right next to my house that sells the 5x refined butane so I can pick it up on the way over. Both are fairly easy to do.

I agree, I like oil too. But I wouldn't want to do it on the deck (just in case).

Outside somewhere is a must. Gas tends to stay low and if a pilot light on a stove or water heater is on . . .

I like smoking oil, but man does it take crazy toxic chemicals to make it. Thats just not good.

Bubblehash is always nice.

You could freeze the trim. Then dry sift it to get keif. You can smoke the keif, or press it into hash.

After the dry sift, you can turn what's left into budder. 4 ounces of skuff (trim) for 1 pound of butter = quality budder. Use it on anything from cookies and brownies, to cakes, pies, spread it on some toast in the morning, you name it. Love edibles.

To me that's why I only use the highly processes butane. I've tried it both ways and the more pure the better. Dime store Butane (Ronson) give me a headache every time. If it's not 5x processed, don't use it!

Touche. But why add more by smoking it ?

To each his own. I smoke oil fairly often, just throwing out other ideas for ya.

I have a grinder, so I get a fair amount of Kief that I then press.

Of course I could get the Kief before making oil.

Did a drain and replenish tonight. I'll try to get pics tommorrow night

I'm not sure, it is 9.5 weeks into flowering. The pistals on the big Chiesel buds are finally starting to turn. I just bought a microscope from radio shack to check out the trichs. The super LST'd Chiesel buds are getting bigger. I promise to get pics tommorow night when I drain and replenish

The trichs are mostly cloudy at this point but I didn't really see any amber yet. Anyone care to venture on how long I have for 50/50 on trichs?

Not long. All cloudy means you are close. Watch them daily. I'd think a week but it is slightly different from strain to strain but not that much different. When they start to go amber they go quick. When I cut there is usually 20% clear, 50-60% cloudy and the rest are amber. It kind of depends on what kind of high you are looking for also. More than 25% amber means mostly in the body with a little head. The more amber the more in the body.

Looking fine! Trichs still just cloudy today? Are you getting any new white pistals and are the ones in place just dying a slow death?

Still just cloudy and clear. It's hard to tell if they are just plumping or getting new pistols.

Have you got some good scissors or shears ready?
