first time pc enclosure grow box

OK - so i stumbled on this youtube series that went over the basics of growing in a small space, I've seen cabinet growing and shit. but never once thought of a pc as a ideal space for it. I build gaming pc's as a hobby so i have enough cases laying around to get into serious trouble now that i am armed with this information...
but alas i built one.
Shes coming out alright so far - box and plant.
Few minor things I will get to when i have time/tools willbe deleting more of the interior harddrive cages etc; as of right now its a good space for my seedling.

I have a few questions about space set up if anyone would be so kind - using a mylar blanket to line my case. bad choice or get a dollar store car windshield reflector and cut to fit? i have the heat duct tape as well.

I am posting a few pictures, from my phone in a moment, so you'll get a look at my growth, this plant is of random bag seed. no idea what it is no idea of anything about it. i believe i am seeming indica characteristics however.

the medium is a peat moss mix organic guano casings perite etc. I have only used b-1 and added some basic organic food to the water solution. nothing crazy or anything.

this plant doesnt matter i am aware it will be a hermaphrodite at aleast - i have auto fems on the way. this first attempt is more of will it actually work than what this plat will be

cool. I recommend just flat white paint for the inside. Or use some foiltape to seal all the cracks. I wouldn't go for mylar in there.

Can you explain the setup? Like the lights and how the ventilation and fans and filtering and stuff is gonna work out? If you're not sure I'd be happy to help as well. :)

i have 2 140mm exhaust fans (a DIY carbon filter sandwiched between them) 140mm intake and a 80mm fan at the top of the case to pull heat off the CFLs and to create more turbulence inside the space. the CFL's are what i have laying around, I plan on updating them before i get the better seeds, but what i have now is what i have. I am running currently 2 1250 lumens 4100k 18w cfls. the other option is 2700k 900 lumens, I opt'd for brightness over warmth right now, if this plant ever reaches a flowering stage which I am sure it wont due to it being random seed i will switch to the 2700k CFL's. i also threw in a RGB led strip kit, i have it running blue to attempt to correct the warmth of the spaces overall light. dont know if it'll work or not but experimenting.

Yes just two if I were to remove the remaining pc crap in the space I could fit two more spiral CFL s I'll check the leds (if I read the info correctly 72 watts total for the 18 leds in the strips.)

yeh I was gonna say... you might be able to veg with about 30w. For flower I'd kick it up to at least 75w or so as long as you can cool it.

The fan quality is all set my pc runs hotter than the box. I have air flow fans opposed to air pressure. All are variable speed so I can push out through the carbon adequately enough to lift a sheet of standard printing paper. When I crank them all to 2500 rpm I can drop the current temp quickly

I grew under some ccfl(cold cathodes) and it didn't really do too much..mostly just added a little heat. any additional wattage would be better invested into small led bulbs imo.

what kept me up last night was plotting a single 1/2 gallon hydro system for a single plant. then i took a look at growth on the current plant. um... 3 prongs have grown out over night and the first full fan leaves have started opening already this is bag seed i planted without germination 7 days ago... im alittle shocked at how fast its growing to be honest

have to excuse my excitement, im astonished that a simple dismantling of a pc case - i have literally every where could actually do this - im sure i'll settle down eventually

heheh I know that feeling. I'm still super excited about my new cobs and it's been like 6 months now.

Btw I agree with @Psyphish about cobs being the best choice, but those require a little more diy. If you're interested in setting those up I'd be happy to help. I have a small veg box for my mother plants with some 8w cobs in it. Probably 3-4 cobs would give you a real nice light spread. You might be able to get that set up for under $50...I'm not sure. The biggest issue with PC grows is the head room...cobs definitely have the lowest profile. (unless a half sized quantum board gets released ;) )

If you go with screw in type led bulbs, I'd just go with regular household ones from a box store. I wouldn't go for any specialized 'grow bulbs' ...I think you'll get alot more bang for your buck and better quality light from a basic warm white led bulb with the dome removed. Serious, just regular generic walmart ones put out a ton of light.

i've been looking at the cobs, its a rather small case, Im going to have to figure out how dell got the plastic outer parts on so i can get at the rivets to take out the extra shit. if i had a working dremel this wouldve been done by now.
