here are some low wattage passive cooled cree cobs for ~$0.50 per watt.
you should be able to use these for veg no problem. keep 'em about a foot
away, and one light per square foot. the 12 watt e27, unless you have odd
light sockets already.

Buyer beware on these E-Bay "Cree" bulbs. I've tried some of these on E-Bay, they're not Cree, they outright lie, I took them to task on it, got my money back and kept the bulbs. They're Ok for additional side lighting but they're not Cree and crap quality. Typical Chinese bull-shit and outright false advertising. Save your money and buy Cree bulbs from HD if you want to use LED bulbs. You'll see some of these Chinese "Cree" bulbs in my breeding tent pics mixed in with CFLs for side-lighting, they're the last of the shipment I got a refund on, 20 bulbs, 16 failed within 2 months. Caveat Emptor...

The closer the better but that should be better than they were.
I also took your advice and moved the mama blue dream completely under the scrog. I was worried I'd break a branch but it worked perfect. Thanks again.

The light is 5000k...I thought 2700k and 6500k are the bulbs needed.
Yoda's link went to the 5000k but I think they also carry other colours, have a look around. The 5000k will also have enough blue in it for veg if that's the purpose, 6500k just has more blues, 2700k has more reds and more suitable for flowering. If you're using them for flowering anything between 2700k and 4000k is good, a mix of them imo is even better, recently posted something about that in my CMH thread. I mixed 2700k, 3000k, and 4000k in my breeding tent and it rocked for both density and frost on a couple of plants I had in there. I had a base 200w LED white/3000k, then some 2700k CFL's and 4000k LED bulbs.

They don't make 6500k LEDs the 5000k are the best for veg but they do make 2700k for flowering.

Both the scrog and veg plants are looking great, nice job Darth, looking healthy. What light are you running on the scrog? Looks like the flowers are just popping, at 3 weeks you should be seeing fully formed buds. May want to consider adding some of those Cree bulbs to enhance the existing light and speed things up. Maybe move the light closer too, how far is it from the canopy?
