I just picked up some new genetics. Got four new clones which means I will be retiring the Aurora OG and Cheesey smurf after this last run. Here are the new genetics I picked up today.

Cherry Pie
Aka: Cherry Kush
Probably Grand Daddy Purple x f1durb
Flowering Time: 8 to 9 weeks indoors and the end of October outdoors
Yield: Cherry Pie is a medium to high yielding marijuana strain
Look: Nice chunky dense nugs covered in trichomes and orange hairs. Because it is a GDP cross, this strain has little patches of purple here and there. The first time I saw this strain I was very impressed with it’s bag appeal.
Smell: Cherry Pie smells like a bakery, just think baked goods with cherry and a hint of sourness. The GDP comes through in this cross, with it’s sweet floral smell shining through.
Taste: Tastes a lot like it smells, sweet on the inhale, then the sour earthy kush flavor from the OG Kush comes through on the exhale.
Effects: Although Cherry Pie is an Indica dominant strain, it isn’t too heavy and you can still function and get things done. I’m a big fan of Hybrids strains and this has a good mixture of both head and body, leaning a little more towards body. It is very calming, yet it doesn’t knock you out.
Medical Uses: Muscle relaxant, pain relief, insomnia, appetite, anxiety, stress
San Fernando Valley Kush
SFV OG by Cali Connection is a sativa-dominant hybrid that is great for patients who need strong pain relief but don’t want to be stuck on the couch. As the name indicates, this OG Kush relative originates from California’s San Fernando Valley. Although their names are barely distinguishable, SFV OG Kush is actually the Afghani-crossed child to SFV OG. The flowers will stay fairly small and may not look super impressive, but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in smell. The pine and lemon earthiness that SFV exudes can be a bit harsh and bitter if smoked, so this strain is one to save for the vaporizer if consuming directly. Its indica body effects take a little longer to feel than the initial head haziness, but once they do, everything will feel fine.
DeadHead OG
This is the famed Original 91 chemdawg AKA the skunk VA cut. as it was the only verified cut chem gave out. his online screen name is Skunk VA. hence the reference..The legend of legends. the creator of so many legendary strain like OG Kush, Sour Diesel and so forth. This cut was crossed to my SFV OGK F4 male. think Lemon Funk skunk...
Type: 60/40 Sativa/Indica
Flowering time: 8 weeks
Yield: 600+ grams/m2
Girl Scout Cookies
When 2 full boxes of Girl Scout Cookies arrived in British Columbia, BC Bud Depot knew what to do. The clone was fast becoming a legend - a potent mix of an OG Kush x Durban Poison x Cherry Kush mother backcrossed with a prime-looking OG Kush father created possibly one of the best Northern California strains of all time. After dedicating a number of mothers, BCBD immediately started growing these out to reverse and create the first feminized (S1) Girl Scout Cookies seeds released to the world. Fast becoming a BC Bud Depot favorite, the Girl Scout Cookies are excellent for medical use, particularly is the areas of anxiety, depression, pain relief and inflammation. Winner of Best Hybrid at the 2013 Los Angeles Medical Cannabis Cup!
Genetics: Indica / Sativa Hybrid
Specifics: (OG Kush x Durban Poison x Cherry Kush) x OG Kush
Flavour: Chocolate mint taste
Flowering Time: Indoor: 9-10 weeks

Here are the strains which will be transferred into hydro today. I hope they survive the transfer because I'm looking forward to some new genetics. They will also go into a much larger tent with much more light. Looking for denser nugs next round. Kinda sad to see the Aurora OG go because it is one of my favorites. I am not sure if I will ever see this exact strain again. I can take some clones but I don't know if it is worth just keeping the clones unless I bloom them. Without further Adeu...Here are the new family members.

It has been a fun journey. I will always post the grow updates here so stay tuned :weed:
This new 5x5 tent is empty but soon the Cherry Pie, Girl Scout Cookies, Deadhead OG, and the San Fernando Valley Kush will be in there. I put in a grinder for scale and the grow tent has windows so I can take a look anytime without unzipping.:-P
Also, take a look at how well these clones from soil transferred into hydroponics. I am ecstatic right now!:hump:

The clones are doing fantastic. The 4 Cheesey Smurf's may need to get chopped early because these girls are ready. They were topped a couple time but with clones that can present many challenges. The node spacing is a bit much. Next round we use all seeds.P1050005.JPG

Update: Cheesey Smurf Week 6: I will need to harvest early for many reasons. I am upgrading to a new tent so I will need to chop these nugs in the next 3 weeks. I will have 4 new strains so please stay tuned and thanks for watching. A Youtube channel may need to be created soon to accommodate questions but RIU is always the first people I ask advice from. Cheers and happy growing. #HashChurch
