First time grower need advice

Just water when needed. Let the plant tell you that.
Get a moisture meter about $10. It's a wise investment until you can tell what they need.
Another good way to tell is the "lift" technique. You should be able to feel the difference in the weight of a dry pot and a watered pot.

Thanks to all for the info.
So after I was told to flush them being new I had to find out how to do it the right way. The net is a great tool. So I did and cut back on the nutes and switched up the brew.. Things are going better, for the most part.

New Question... 100+ days. Should I water an extra day in the week or stick to simply twice a week?
Top soil drys quick but pots still feel pretty heavy.
The plant will drink more/less at different times of its growth cycle. It will also drink more when it is hot/windy ect. You cannot have a set schedule and expect it to work because of these factors. It is best to water thoroughly until water drains out of the pots drainage holes and then wait until the plant is substantially dry to water again (end of flower dont let it get as dry). Generally when the top soil of the pot is no longer dark brown and starts to lighten and get crusty the plant is close to needing water. As others have said lifting the pot is generally an easy way to tell because it will be very light, but your plants and pots are too large for this method.
