First time grower help (closet size) . Helpful chart found for hydroponics

Looking to start building my grow closet this weekend. All i have so far is the seeds (female) wonder women strain. Iv been browsing threads trying to figure out what would be the ideal closet size i should buy. (not a very handy person to build one) I was thinking about going with something like this

for your first grow its a cheap alternative and you can learn as you go its a 3 month (minimum) process to flower out a canabis plant in that time you can work on supplying yourself with the appropriate nutrients, meter and equuipment for a hydro setup

Thank you, the room is 10 feet by 8 feet (sorry for the mess) but i will have half of that room to work with. How much roughly would you say for the price of a set up with that tent and everything else?

It takes a LOT more than you would think but ultimately your budget can vary greatly. I'd say at MINIMUM, $500 - $700. That will just about get you a tent, light system, maybe a carbon filter and exhaust fan, and very few essentials like pots, nutrients and dirt (I'm leaving a ton out). TO do it "right" you would need probably around $1k+ imo.

I have a cabinet roughly that size and I've probably spent roughly $1k, not including the cabinet, and probably 20 hours modification. If you aren't familiar with DIY type projectsdiy type of things you should certainly look for a grow tent as opposed to a cabinet. Cost can add up very quickly.

Wow :neutral: i thought at most $300ish. I know other people ask but what about those pre built set ups? Like the pre built hydroponic systems/closet/cabinet? I only wanted to try hydroponics because it seems like its the most productive (crazy yields) from all the grow journals i looked at. I found This online for 200.

This comes with

* One 6 plant 10 gallon hydroponic system

*One Fluorowing 125w Grow light system with bulb

* One set of sunrise Adjustable light hangers

* One quart of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow Nutrients

* One quart of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom Nutrients

* One General Hydroponics PH kit

* Enough Hydroton for your first crop

* Six 3 inch net cups

* One air stone

* One air pump

Not sure how the quality of the nutrients and everything else but all that for 200 seems legit! So if i got that all i have to worry about is buying a grow tent and the exhaust system? And the little stuff like thermometer and ph checker? I really want to start growing i just need a foot in the door. Thank again for all the help

That's not a bad deal. The light's a little weak.

Here's what I paid, individually:

Hydro reservoir: DIY 5gal buckets $0
Lighting: $120 in LED (we'll see how this turns out..)
Light hangers: DIY hemp + nails (LEDs are light, too) $0
Nutrients: Botanicare Pro Grow $19.50 & Botanicare Pro Bloom $19.50
PH tester: $10 (ebay) + $12 cal. solution
Hydroton: $29 for way too much, but I'm good for a long while
Net cups: $3
Air stone: $4
Air pump: $15
=$232

So not a huge difference (also, priced in CAD) even though I did some DIY. Also ended up buying a PPM meter, but the cost for a lot of hydro setup can be divided among many grows, especially monitoring equipment.

I couldn't see your link but AFAIK, that's a single CFL. No crazy yields there, no matter what grow medium and nutrients are used.
