first time flowering...one week in...

Every plant is different. Some sprout a lot of little green pods (not pollen sacs) while others sprout hairs before anything else.
Just wait. It sometimes takes a plant time to reach puberty, even though all the lights are on the right cycle.
I've always found those plants to be the best weed--late bloomers, just like me...

No problem about the name, and I hear ya on the stoned. As I am as well I am.
I just am a very impatient man myself, and I tend to get overly excited when I don't wake up and see pounds of resin dripping flowers hanging off my plants after the first week, so I was just saying is all. If you really want to know what I pray for at night, it goes something like this...
Great Creator of Pot,
to you I pray,
help me through another day,
I've raised this plant from just a sprout,
and now her buds are filling out.
Her leaves are sticky and her stem looks great,
but she's still small, and I'll need to wait.
A few more weeks she has to grow,
although my stash is getting low.
So grant me patience, help me be strong,
to not prematurely put her in my bong.
Oh great Lord, please help this freak
to let it grow another week.
And tell me Lord, that it isn't true,
that I'll have to hang it, dry it, and cure it too?!?!
