First time DWC grower

ok here's the 411 I have the rubber maid contanor (painted black so no light can get through)

I don't care about the water temp right now or the ppm

I was wondering how big of holes should I use? I got a 3v flat battry about 3/4'' wide and I don't have any wire baskets or any thing else, its just a very basic setup, so could I use that 3/4'' wide battry as my hole template?

I am making holes in the lid so that I can put my clones in them

do I need any nutes in the water?

Have they rooted?
or are you trying to root them?

If you are trying to root them I would recomend getting a thin pice of polastirean, making small wholes in the polasitean to push the stems threw and then simply floating polastrean on the surface of the water. your clones will be rooted in 9 days. Oh and keep the water temp at a stedy 22c

When they are rooted place them in 4" net pots, then place the pots in your rubbermade and fill to 1/2 inch above the bottom of the pot, once roots are coming out of the pot lower the water level.

If you can not get hold of net pots, find some standard pots and make extra holes in them, I used a soldering Iron to melt wholes, this worked very well.

oh yes and once rooted, EC.0.6 for a few days, then increase slowly. less is more if you are unsure stay low.
