First time DWC. Advice greatly appreciated!!

Hey guys! Good luck running your first DWC, I finally set 4 plants(clones) into my 2.7 gallons literally hours ago, after much planning and set backs.

Things I have read dont quote me on it. Never use bleach as it leaves residue, use alcohol instead and dry with paper towel then let air dry for a bit.

I heard a scrub and how water is the best.

If this is your very first grow, i recommend having half of your plants in soil. Incase somethings goes horribly wrong you wont loose everything!

bleach is never a problem to use, just rinse good. some people even add it to their res. make it simple. make the grow work for you.

After finally finishing the Mylar, I vacuumed the room completely, then sprayed and wiped it down with hot water, and a splash of bleach in a spray bottle. I hung the light up yesterday, with all the duct work, and things are looking really good!

Here is my air system.
1 intake from outside to light, then exhaust out 6' with 400ish cfm fan.
1 intake with no fan to the room
1 exhaust with 200ish cmf fan outside.
No carbon filter yet.

My temps raised 10 degrees with my light on 100% so I am definitely going to need to upgrade my light fan, as well as my exhaust fan when I add the filters. Looks like I'm also going to need a portable AC, heater, dehumidifier in order to get my temps spot on. Currently shopping CL : )

I have seeds started in rockwool cubes, and they are getting started!! I am only spaying them down with small amounts of water at 5.5 ph. They are just under a small CFL light.

Once I get all the lights brought it, I should put up some completed pics.

you have enough fan for the light, it is probably the exhaust fan or intake too small. portable ac's are the absolute worst and most inefficient of all ac systems.

Portable ACs are bad for power costs, or bad for the room?? I do have a few window units laying around. I could just mount that up to the room. Maybe I will do that. I was wondering what you guys think would be best for veg. I was planning on getting another dimable 1000 watt mh, but one of my friends just told me to go with t5. Also would it be a good idea to throw 150 HPS in the veg room with the mh or t5 lights in order to help train the plants not to stretch when they go into the flower room?? These are just thoughts that bounce around in my head when I'm baked on my meds : )

dont wory about adding another light until you have enviroment under control. portable ac's are the least efficient in that there is a lkt of room enviroment loss including odor. a 6k window unit will do better than a 12k portable.

Here is the room as it sits right now : ) Temps are holding between 74 and 79 degrees with lights on or off. I have some Grand Daddy Perp, Blueberry, and Black Domina. The wall AC was mandatory!!!
