Well ill tell you from my experience i only use a 10 Gallon tote but i have to lug that bitch down 2 flights of stairs to my basement. I think 65 Gal is a bit much for 4 plants but then again this is only my first grow I think you only need 3-4 gallons per plant. My next grow i am doing 3 single buckets it seems easier. Hope this helps

If you have room for the 65 gal tote in your grow area, go for it.
I have a 30gal rubbermaid. had 2 plants and they were fighting for room in the middle.
I only have 1 left in there now and it has enough room up top. The roots have more than enough room.
I liked how much room the roots had for both plants, but I didn't do any LSTing or SCROGing being my first go at dwc
so it was like a jungle up top.

I also have a 5gal bubble bucket and it works very well. It would probably be easier to grow 4 plants in seperate buckets.
You would have the advantage of mobility and if one plant goes wrong or is male you don't have to worry about messing with every single plant.
The only downfall to this method would be having to check the ph of each bucket.
The bigger the rez the easier it is to stabilize the ph though.

It's all about personal preference and what you feel is more important. I would do a test dwc run with a couple buckets or 10gal res and you'll get a good idea
of what you like and how you like to do it.

I say just do the single 5 gallon buckets man especially if you want to grow different strains. You can fit and manage four 5 gallon buckets way easier than a big A$$ tube. especially with changing the water
