First thread: LED 'micro' grow

Hey all! I'm new here.

I got some parts in the mail so here's the thread, I know how the grow thread goes down so.

I got 4 X 15w (60x LED) red/red/blue bulbs for real cheap so I thought why not.

They're "32pcs 660nmRed + 9pcs 630nmRed + 19pcs 450nmBlue " type, 580 lumens a pop. On sale for 2.50 each so I will probably buy more!

I also have two 7w natural white Negative Ion led bulb coming which have two ion brushes each, which should give some result. I consider trying the ions to be an advanced tactic for stealth growing, and should lessen smells A, and also provide benefit to plant growth B, and I believe have been found to speed growth!

I want to add a UV antimicrobial lamp later to prevent moulds and also at flowering to speed things up maybe, ozone is another option at low levels. I am trying to combine the bulb as something which controls conditions in a diverse way.

The space size is roughly 3 feet tall, 2 feet wide and 1 and 3/4 feet deep.

I'm going to try a sea of green, I need to find females also as I have bag seed! (Wish me luck) so I'm just going with many straight growing plants to begin with!

The whole deal is a plug and play on timer setup with digital timer. I am using lamp fittings for the lights because consumption is low, so this is an ideal easy setup going for efficiency under 100w!

I will need to make an air filter using maybe three or four 140mm computer fans, an old computer power supply, some active carbon and some filter membrane stuff.

That's the plan stay with me, the things are in the mail!

Correction I got ripped off by Chinese people:

I am going to be using four of the red/blue bulbs at FIVE WATTS each, two 7w natural white ion bulbs, and two 18w cool white led bulbs which I picked up to suit.

wattage with fan is going to be 70 watts lighting.

I have curtailed my shipping from China as much as possible, especially freaking Ebay....my last three AC/DC constant current drivers for my LED cobs, were all DOA.....back to square one...

Wish you luck man, my cab is almost the same size just a tad bigger and I have had a lot of fun with it. I use LEDs in mine as well. What I did want to talk about is the under a 100w your cab is nearly 2 ft sq, with that you should ideally be around 200w. I'm not saying you can't do it with 100w or under, I and many other people have just not with optimal results.image.jpgI think your fan setup might give you more trouble than you think. The above pic is the one I use in a similar sized cab. I have it blowing out through the top and creates enough negative pressure to pull air in through my bottom inlet. Good luck on the grow and let us know how it goes.

Cool fan bro.

I need to find a fan to use that I can plug into a power-board, i'm going cheap but well. I have a fan ready for later with an air filter on it. It's a bit old but hasn't been put through much.

The light setup I will end up with currently is 6X 9w Red/Blue LED, and 2X 15w Cold White spotlight LED. 84w all up I believe.

The Negative ions I have going are quite good. For the scale things are at now the thing is going quite well.

Those 5w bulbs will later only be used for a mother with some 7w red/blues I have gotten since.

FERTS: I have some humic acid coal stuff, some zeolites in the soil, some miracle grow all round for trace elements a little (I use it dilute I see it as a n00b thing.
I also have some Superthrive for transplanting, and I have some Potassium Bicarbonate, Calcium Carbonate, and will get some Epsom salts, so I am good for nutes
for a long decent time into the future.

The space I have now is a smaller wardrobe that's white inside, and the hangers I use with spotlights work really well to isolate light down on the plants, and a minimal shade
greatly increases this to the point where this is all basic grow theory stuff and I am really have great success with growth.

In 2 weeks I am going to flower, there will be photos. Hopefully I can show what their next feed (just after the start of that time) does to them under best lighting configuration.

Heat is an issue, and what I mean is I need more, which is being fixed by the bulbs themselves which is nice, things are sitting around 20 degrees Celsius. If you don't know
25 -30 degrees is best, in Celsius and I want good heat for transpiration which is vital for me using soil.

Final setup should be a mother plant setup, and two larger flowering rigs.

Your fridge grow is like my grow, which will be 30w cool white 5630 epistar LEDs, and 54w red/blue to compensate.

I really like the red blue absorption thing, so I am going for a 3rds balance. It'll be good to see how things compare, Abiqua

OK so I checked out a fan, And subsequently may hopefully set about manufacturing a 140mm filter system built into a cabinet featuring carbon pads as an exhausting system.

I got the new lights, 42 watts running atm, 9w x 3 red blue, and one 15 white.

Thing is I got some mother seeds today.

EXO CHEESE, AND THE CHURCH (COURTISIERERT OF GREENHAUS SEEDZ) tak so mikje. :P

So I'll be raising them in the meantime, Going for round two with bigger pots and straight mother plants. Wish me luck, photos soon.

I got a couple of 1.5L CO2 reactors in there also now, keeping the heat up too, the co2 really boosted growth immediately.

Should have done it sooner, I used a quick recipe from the internet

I ended up using a configuration of a 400w HPS bulb and some red/blue led's to even it out.

I have an 80w LED veg rig atm which is great, and I am running now BLUE DREAM mainly.

I have some plants almost done. They have 4 weeks to go!... here's pictures.....

Here;s the main plants before harvest, about a week or two ago, since harvested.

There;s 4 Blue Dream and 3 Space Candy vegetating at the moment, they'll go for about another week or two in there then it's Flower Time once again! Wooopiieee!

Photos of the new ones and bud harvest coming in a few hours. peace

Roger: check this out new plants. Yeah those 8 inch are the bomb, they're like atmospheric units for oxygen and I use negaive ions as stated previously which again, I must add: Really help night cycle, less ozone, of course.

Here is the curent situation, second day 12/12, cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'll be back a while/ Enjoy these photos they keep me alive reciprocally with the oxygen/carbon dioxide cycle, with the anions in high amount in perimeter. GENKI MAS! :3 ^_^ LOL

EDIT/// Also; From the first shot, last harvest, I got maybe 2 ounces of strong weed which I smoked myself, and it's the best thing I ever did, You could taste the 'volatile terpines' as you might think, and was of good strength (thanks Global System Palz)

I am expecting maybe three times this, and should keep me satiated for some time. These plants are Blue Dream and Space Candy. The Blue dream are the more vegetated plants, and the smaller sets the same. /// EDIT

A couple of things;

The plant that was of an inferior strain turned out Much stronger than it was previously.

The blue LED strip is great and 60w 5630 type.

Also ffs the mk system and transmissions face my lahkovsky coil.
