nah man thats my passive intake, during flowering a dehumidefier is hooked up to the otherside, works a treat

I have an updated pic and predicament.....

Plants going good, but we got a batch confirmed for NYE, so I'll be leaving for a week.

If I flip next weekend I'll have 9 weeks flowering and should be fine. I've done a few of these plants and normally they were ready in 8, but have had two go through till 9. They say 9 is better.

I guess the question is, should I just not worry about being away and let her veg till she's really ready or start flowering so I can have it all finished. I'll be gone a week.

I could water her through one of those capillary action things if I went away. It would just be water at that stage.

Just leave her vegging bro i went away for a one on my last grow left them in veg and was happy i did was going to flip but i think its best if your not in a rush just let her veg and train her once you get home you will yield better with a longer veg

if your stressing about the watering like i did i just set up a run back with a watering ring and a timer

get a pot the same size put it in there cut a 19mm hole for the tubing and run it back to a res saves you the stress of her getting stunted from under watering

boost it up with some bricks so its higher then the res so the water can flow back in up to you my bro

i left one that was in a smaller pot for the week that i went away and it looked a bit shit when i got home but after watering it she was all good

Sweet if I'm ready in two weeks to flip, then it gives me 8 weeks to flower, otherwise I can go away, rig up some water system and the when I came back it would be ready for the chop

one question if anyone can answer, when do i start cutting back the growth under the canopy?

I'm currently in my first grow, so I'm still learning as well, but I'll give any advice I can! I did a hefty pruning right at the switch. I read an article on high times that talked about increasing yeild up to 30% by pruning all the undergrowth 3-4 weeks into flowing. It said it was mainly or indica plants, some sativas. It's also risky if you over-prune that late in the game. Since I have a sativa dominant hybrid and this is my first grow, I was too nervous to try this. However, now being about two weeks from harvest, I wish I had. At least a light pruning to focus more energy on top. So I'd say give it a good clearing when you switch the light, maybe even a couple days before the switch so it can veg out a little of the stress. Then after 3-4 weeks into the switch id do some minor pruning, anything below the canopy that doesn't look like it will amount to much. Hope that helps man!

I've also read a lot of articles and forum posts that say it's actually best to do all the pruning at once instead of little by little. Even though it's more stress on the plants, it's just a one time thing to recover from. Otherwise, if you prune a little at a time, you run the risk of stressing the plant over a longer period of time which will end up stunting growth and giving a higher chance of hermie

Here's a mid week update. Just gave her a feed and realised I'm only giving her about 500ppm so I'm going to crank that up next feed.
