Cheers man. This plant is about 4 weeks old from seed. I grew it in a rubbish bin with a 125w cfl first and now it's under the 400w MH in its final home.

Yeah good shit now that shes under the 400 MH shes going to explode with new growth so are you planing to fill the net before you flower ? and get the full scrog net filled up ?

So a little update. I must be coming up 5 weeks veg from seed.

Unfortunately I busted one of my main tops :(. Nevermind, I've got time to veg it all out.

Sorry I took the photo with the MH on. Couldn't get to it before it turned on.

Any suggestions welcomed. :)

Cheers man, yeah I plan to veg for longer. You think I should top all of them?

I watered today with some nitrozyme, wormcastings, guano veg nutes and banged in a bit of advance nutrients root booster.

Will be interesting to see how it goes. At the moment I really only water once a week as it takes that long to dry out properly

Yeah good job bro less is more when it comes to watering good thing to do is also test your run off water to make sure the PH levels stay the same and there not going to get over feed and burn your babies

yeah bro if your going to scrog i find more topping is good then once they reach the net let the training start :) i been busy over the last copy of days my bigbang is doing great from the main lining training ill get some photos done later was thinking of going for the 16 top but unsure ill think about it keep it green

And so the scroging begins. I topped them all, don't think I'll too again. I'm gutted I lost that other main shoot, but have place the pot so that i should be able to work around it.

I also ditched the tower fan, as it was takin. Up space that could be bud. I'll put in a desk fan tonight. Or I'll just rig the tower fan upside down

Im so surprised your the only one who has commented on this with so many views.

Im going to do my best to do a 1 plant scrog, hopefully pulling 1 pound.

I dropped a box fax suspended from the roof to provide some internal airflow. my 400 HM is sitting about 8 inchs above the canopy with temps at 24c (75) and 50% humidity. I can get my 600w HPS about 15 inchs off, would I veg faster? or just leave the MH? She seems to love the MH.

Yeah people are shy or something

Node will be closer if you keep her under the MH the growth rate how ever will be faster under the HPS more power + more lumens

some people only use a HPS as i did when i started as i didn't have a MH this grow how ever i did put them under a 600watt MH made them nice and bushy but needed to cut down on the power so my veg room is only a 250Watt HPS they are a bit stretching but not to bad

In my eyes doesn't matter to much if your going to veg a long time would be better to use a Metal halide as your node spacing would be closer so your plant wouldn't be so stretchy

short veg and don't have a Metal halide just use the HPS most would recommend if your going to veg for less then a month a MH is not really needed as the HPS will do a good job

end of the day it's up to you i would think your 600HPS will give this a great kick in the ass

when your in veg your room humidity can be as high as 70% but once you get in to flower under 40% so you lose the risk of mold and all that good stuff but if you keep a good flow of air around your plants you will be fine

think i went on about lighting just a little to much my bad :) keep us posted doing great

Cheers man, even since that photo, she seems to have taken to the topping and dose of nutes and all branches have grown an inch haha.

I like the idea of close nodes, but am trying to get it done by NYE, so the 600w hps for veg sounds good, but I doubt harvest is going to be before NYE either way

One other question, will a 18ltr pot be big enough for a pound plant?

I would say no max i have got out of a 20 liter pot is around 5-6 oz and the pot was full of root
but i did have the 2 plants under the 600 watt and veg time was only 30 days and flower 60 days

as the old saying the bigger the roots the bigger the fruits but bigger roots take time remember once you switch to 12/12 the root growth slows down and they focus on making fruits/flowers

at the moment my jack herer is in a 50 liter pot and aiming for 8 Oz if i get more i'll be happy but i always think less but always get more :)

if your aiming for a pound make sure you veg the shit out of that plant but i would up size pot even just up to a 30 liter

but just do it soon so your not all tucked in to your scrog net will be a pain in the ass

Interesting to read, my last grow I did 4 of the same as this, ie big bang. Two were really indica like and two more sativa, that took a bit longer. I did them in 15 ltr bots and they were hardly root bound, but I pulled 13 ounces.

I'm figuring I need to buy myself a new pot in the morning.
