Hi All, so with the new room completed (see build here) I guess it's time to see how it runs.

The Particulars:
Room
- Completely sealed environment
- 4m x 2.4m Floor Space
- 6 x 1000W HPS in air cooled hoods (intake from and exhausted out of the room)
- 3.5kW reverse cycle AC
- 20L dehumidifier
- 31kg cO2 gas bottle with green air set point controller

System
- 20 x Autopot twin hydrotrays
- 50/50 Canna coco and super course perlite
- Distilled Water
- Canna Coco A+B
- Canna Rhizotonic
- Canna Canazyme
- Canna PK 13/14
- Canna Boost
- Cal-Max
- Epsom salts

Strain (clones)
- 20 x Green house seeds "The Doctor"
- 20 x Female seeds "White Widow x Big Bud"

I think that's all, now for some pics, please forgive the shitty quality, but taking photos is normally an after thought and I use my phone so they come out pretty crap, I'll remember to take my SLR at some point and take decent pics:

Clones when they we taken:

A doctor clone ready for planting, the yellowing is because I had to keep the clones in the seedling tray alot longer than expected due to delays in getting the room finished:

But they all had a very healthy root system:

All tucked in:

A closer look, this side of the room is "The Doctor"

Feel free to comment and ask questions, Cheers bongsmilie

Damn!!!! I could only WISH to have that much space!!!! I would grow as much as I possibly could just because I could!!! Incredible set-up and I'm anxious to see this thing in action!!!!!!

How big of a reservoir are you running and what kinds of pumps, if you don't mind me asking?? I see all of those water lines so it must mean big!!! lol

I'm using 2 x 60 litre rez, these will probably end up being to small during flower but I had them lying around so will upgrade them later. This system uses gravity to feed the hydro trays, there is a special type of valve in each tray that controls when to let water in, they allow for a wet/dry cycle.

so what are u saying ur rez is up on a bench or something i only see one line going in to ur 2 bucket tray so is this like a selfwatering dwc system

The rez are up on concrete blocks behind the room, one for each side, there is a 13mm main feed line down each side of the room, then 4mm lines coming off them to each tray, the valve controls how much to feed them, I'll post photos of the valve and tray when I get home.

UPDATE: the week has been pretty uneventful, most of the girls have shot up a little, I've had to pull and replace one of the girls because she didnt enjoy the the transplant, I'll be topping them all in the next week or so and I'll switch them to flower in about 2 weeks.

6 days from transplant

Nice.. I've never seen the autopots used for cannabis..

Quick question, why did you not hang your lights inline? Less fans, less work and I would assume better cooling. Just curious if your on to something I'm not..

Hey mate, I've used the autopots for a long time now to keep my mothers and couldn't think of a good reason why wouldn't work on a larger scale, so this is a kind of test.

I've run the lights that way because the centre of the room is essentially a walk way, so I wanted the light to spread from front to back as opposed to side to side, does that make sense?

Yeah that makes sense, i hang the lights in the middle of the room so i can get to all four corners but i have more space then most i guess... looks good

I'm kinda excited to see what those autopots are capable of..

How long do plan on vegging them?

It would kinda be nice to see them make larger pots like 15 and 25 gallons. And one pot instead of two. I carry those older green square ones at my hydro shop, i haven't seen those round ones yet..

I'll be vegging for 2-3 weeks, I'm kinda playing it by ear.

Yeah, I knew that these pots were to small when I started, I've got plans to make them bigger by removing the bottom of larger pots and lining them to the standard ones using silicon, but I'm curious to see how they do without them first.

From my understanding the round pots were only released in Australia and the US got the square ones.

Oh you over there? It's seems like the square pot would have more room for the roots.. but i can't tell how large they are..

These pots only hold 6 litres, so they are small, when I modify them, they will be 30L which will make me happier.

So I have a stupid problem, my AC unit only goes to 30°c which is 3° lower than I like it, Haha, not a lot of people trying to get "more" heat in the room, haha

Thanks bud, nice setup btw.

I have a 8800watt setup but health canada is dicking around rite now and theres court battles. So i cant safely grow atm. I ran 2-4000w rooms with 4 hoods each with 2 8' inlines each.

When my house is built and i finally move im making a permanent room with 12-18 lights if law allows...witch it should. And i will be using your room as a guideline (congrats, ive seen many a shows and yours is clean) but il be adding in co2 burner and a minisplit with 2 heads.

Great job, i had the wwxbb but i stuned its growth some how but it was the only seed who didnt come through, it was a pick and mix from attitude and only had 1.

Thanks man, I thought that every second house in Canada was a grow house, Haha. I don't think my govt is going to legalise any time soon, but when they do, I'll be ready, Haha.

I want to build another room about 3 times this size when I'm done with this, the ability to control the environment in this room is fantastic, AC doesn't work to hard and there are no huge swings in temp and I can run cO2 without worrying about wasting it (I don't exhaust the air in the room at all). The problem I have with generators is the fact that you have to exhaust the room every so often or you get a build up of carbon monoxide which is bad and why I decided to go with bottled instead.

This is the first time with both these strains, I chose them for being heavy yielders and they fit well with my low maintenance and what I like to call my low touch style growing, ideally, I would like to only have to visit my grow room once a week, but I go almost everyday, I can't help myself, Haha.
