First real CFl Grow, need some advice!

Whats up guys! :bigjoint: So all my plants are from bag seed. They're in FFOF with some extra perlite, using GH trio nutes. They're under a hood I built with 10 23w CFL's (might put in another 2-4). The 1st first plant is just under 2 months old in a 5-gallon pot and has female pre-flowers. All the others are around 3 weeks along in 1-gallon pots and not showing sex yet. The seedlings were getting yellow-green when they were in solo cups. I think the problem was the low nutrient seed starter blend I used which I think was just peat moss and perlite. Because once I transplanted to the Ocean Forest, the new growth is deep green like it should be. When do you guys think I should switch to flowering to maximize yield? Also, when I do switch to flowering, would it be better yield-wise to have 4 plants in 1-gallon pots (assuming 4 out of 8 small ones are female), or to only keep 1 or 2 and put them in 3-5 gallon pots. Thanks guys! :weed:
