Hi guys,
I’ve just started my first hydro grow in a supergro 8pot RDWC underfloor system with 2 air stones in every pot.
My grow space is a 2.4X1.2X2m grow tent
I have 3 air cooled 600W HID ‘s but only running 2 atm with MH and the 3rd has a multi spectrum bulb (will start using in a week or so).
When I switch to flower I will be using all HPS (omega super HPs & Osram HPS)
Light schedule currently is on 18/6 and plan on vegging for atleast 4-5 weeks.
I’m using standard tap water with Advanced nutrients;
- sensi grow A+B
- voodoo juice
- b-52
- bud candy (I will start to use this on 2nd week).
I’m running ppm at 1000, I know this will more than likely cause concern to youse but I have a friend guiding me who pulls monster yields.Lol
I’ve got a 6inch inlet and a 8inch exhaust.
Water chiller keeping temps at 62degrees
Tent temp lingers between 78-81 degrees
Ph starts at roughly 5.8 but fluctuates up to 6.0/6.1 but never really goes any higher but I believe this will change when the roots have fully submerged.
I have 2 fans circulating the air.
I picked up some super lemon cuttings from a friend on Sunday and transplanted them into there homes that night.
When I got them I don’t think he had fed them properly as they were extremely droopy but have since perked up and seem to be back to near on 100%.(pics of before and after below)
I checked tonight when I got home from work and one of them has it’s first root already coming through the net pot!
Rapid root growth would definitely recommend voodoo juice.
Would appreciate feedback or tips anyone could give and will more than likely use this as a bit of a grow journal.
Cheers bros
T
(The first 2 pics are when I first got them and the rest were taken 5 mins ago and the plants in the net pot in the tray are 2 spare I had as my mate gave me to many and am just waiting to the weekend and are using them as outdoor experiments)

I can't really comment on your overall setup as you are much more advanced than me but electrical wise that looks like a lot of power running through one strip plugged into an outlet. If that is your whole setup plugged into one strip that would concern me a bit.

I’m no expert dude only 2 soil grows under my belt! And no I have my lights on 1 strip in one socket, my humidifiers and 2 oscillating fans on a different socket and that long strip is only my air pump, water pump, chiller and inlet and outlet which is plugged into a different socket the long strip actually only draws max 500watts, if I had it all on one strip probably would of burnt my house down by now lol!:fire::lol:

Well they haven’t burnt yet! Roots have tripled in size in 24hours and they look perfectly happy and healthy! Maybe try it instead of going by what everyone else says?
What are you talking about? I have run rDWC multiple times in the last year or two and did my first indoor grow in 1994. Why would you ever assume I'm 'going by what everybody else says' without knowing anything about me?

Wooow who pissed in your cornflakes? Was clearly stating people go on about low ppms ect thought I’d try what my pal does that seems to work, i was just replying to your sarcastic comment implying my ppms are way to high which seemed to be what I’ve read most people saying.

There was no sarcasm in my original post. You clearly know everything there is to know on your 3rd grow so feedback is unnecessary. Good luck!

Ok Well it seemed that way so sorry and I know no where near enough which is why I’m part of this online forum, I’m constantly getting advice and making mistakes. I’ve got friends on here that like to help guide me where I need it.
And one of them that pulls colas the size of his forearm was the one who told me to run 1000ppm and tbh I’m glad I have my roots have exploded and they look very much healthy.

1000 ppm? In rDWC with young clones? Good luck!
Just wanted to show u how they got on with 1000ppm I am flipping in 7 days
But maybe you’d like to try it after this.
They are 3 weeks old today.
The 2 runts on pic 2 at the front have only just came out of shock haven’t really grown since I got them but they have now rooted through the pots and are starting to grow.

Yes they were shocked by 1000 ppm lol

Not saying they look bad but not good enough to be all adamant about it ;)

Good job but i would have fixed the nutrient issues before i flipped .

And bud with that much light you could grow a chopstick lol

Mabey its your lighting making them look a lil weird .

But you should have a banging harvest with the lights :)

They were like that when I got them, I reckon the high nutes didn’t help and kept them in shock,
Next time I think il do between 800-900 ppm,
I haven’t flipped them yet there still in veg going to flip a week today.
The light in the first pic looks quite dark but it’s just black lines from taking a pic with lights on lol
I was wondering I’m starting to train them now but when I flip them will they fill the net more or do I fill the net more before I flip?
Never done a scrOG before lol.
When I flip I’m changing bulbs to 3 super HPS (1 omega super HPS, Gavita super hps and Osram enhances HPs) heard good things about these bulbs so thought I’d give them a go.
And I’m hoping so, hoping to get a monster yield.

Srcog styles are personal as each strain and room are different but generally just keep the tops at the same height and it will work for you

I just grow my plant big and bushy and plop the net on em and flip a few days later.

Imo its better to fill your net then leave light on the floor. So i tend to fill my net then trim out any unwanted tops by week 3 :)
