First LED Grow With AK-48 & Master Kush

Sure looks like a phosphorus deficiency to me... Did the deficiency start at the bottom of the plant and working its way up? If so definitely phosphorus with maybe a hint of potassium but to me primarily phosphorus deficiency... During flowering any yellowing of fan leaves will generally be in the last couple weeks and somewhat resemble a nitrogen deficiency normally as its a general yellowing from the plant consuming stored up nutrients shouldn't see much of any necrosis during with that type of yellowing
It started at the bottom but very mildly almost unnoticeable. So yeah, it seems is phosphorus deficiency. Luckily, it hasn't gotten worse since adding the nutes - and most of the leaves are green, with of course, the exception of the 35% of it showing the phosphorus deficiency. Thanks for your input!

The phosphorus issue is under control. We have fed Master Kush with Fox Farm's Tiger Bloom in the last two waterings, no signs of new damage have appeared, and she keeps growing the buds! We also removed all the dead/dried leaves. We were a bit hesitant about pruning this far into flowering, but after looking deeper into the topic - we found out that it is totally okay to remove dead and damaged leaves in this cycle as long as the fan leaves are at least 70% dead because after you feed them nutes to fix a problem - the plants tend to put their energy into fixing damaged/dead leaves instead of focusing on bud growth, which is pointless because once the leaves are dead, there's no way to revive them. Therefore, we went ahead and got rid of all the fried leaves knowing that it will not cause any stress to the Master Kush. :)

AK-48 is doing fantastic! She's been such a 1st time grower's dream that no wonder Nirvana (seed bank) has described her as a perfect strain for beginner growers. They're not kidding!

On a different note, we have bought this digital microscope from Crenova for the Trichome Harvest Method we learned about on growweedeasy.com because we're getting closer and closer to the end of the flowering cycle, and after everything we've done in the grow it would be just awful to get a crappy quality harvest. Anyway, here's a diagram of the Trichrome Method.

And here's how our trichomes look at the moment, still completely clear.

PS. Photos of our ventilation setup and current photos of the girls coming up.

Ventilation Setup

As mentioned before, we wanted to show our ventilation setup in our 4x4 tent. At the moment we are using all items listed with links below, but we started small and gradually added more things as needed in the course of the grow.

- Holmes Lil' Blizzard fan (x1)

- Honeywell 16 inch stand fan (x1)

- Lasko 6 inch clip fan (x1)

- Frigidaire 70 pint dehumidifier (x1)

^ The Holmes Lil' Blizzard fan is what we started with during seedling and veg cycles.

^ Lasko Clip Fan on the SCROG frame. We added this at the end of the veg cycle as the girls were getting bigger.

^ Honeywell Stand Fan hanging from the tent frame (using zip ties) added in the middle of flowering.

The Frigidaire Dehumidifier was added at the beginning of flowering to decrease humidity from 70-80% to 40-35%. Not shown on the photos as it sits outside the tent.

So far we're very happy with the ventilation products, and highly recommend them to fellow growers. So there you go, that's our ventilation setup! :)

Cheers!

Hi guys!

We've been checking the trichomes on AK-48 and yesterday we realized she was ready to harvest! We couldn't be happier at the moment, this girl gave us a great yield on her own. She is 100% organic, and smells like heaven.

The photo below shows the yield ready to be put in the drying rack, and only 80% of the total amount we harvested of AK-48. Unfortunately, we forgot to weigh it! But we will do that after it's ready to be smoked.

Next up, Master Kush (she's ready to go to).

My first post is to congratulate you both on your success. Will come back to this thread to follow similar/identical setup. Thank you both for your efforts on updating during your journey. Could we get some pictures of the nuggs?

Thanks! Hope you find this journal helpful. We have been so busy lately with work and life that haven't been able to update this journal, so I appreciate the reminder!

Here's the final stage of the AK-48 - 100% organic, our first LED and grow ever. Unfortunately, we didn't get any photos like these of the Master Kush - we just ran out of it, cause it was pure heaven.:bigjoint:

Cheers,
Frida :P
...

PS: A new organic LED grow has started with different strains, will post about it eventually. Can't wait! ;-)
