I have the mylar fans and carbon filters for now it is only a 4x8 space and I'm not sure what kind of lights I should use I would like to know what kind of lights would work best but not to expensive or to many I would like to maximize this space and have good quality bud not little fluffy puffs any info is great

The classic MH/HPS is great but make sure you get hoods that you can hook up a fan to keep them cool. Rock hard buds off of my 1200 watts.

I agree, 2 600w with vented hoods would work great. 2 1000w would be even better if you can control the temp. Both options will get you nice tight buds.

And how far should the lights be from the plants as of right now the space is only about 4ft tall but I can make it up to 6ft and how many flowering plants can fit in that space

How many plants depends on the style your gonna grow. And with a air cooled hood you can get pretty close. 6' is plenty height.

I don't use the scrog net method. But I'm sure somebody on here can guide you through that. I mostly let them grow natural with pinching and bending. If you go for the scrog net you could probably get away with the 4' light height.

6"? That might be a wee bit close on MH or HPS. Or you have a waaay better fan than I do. I am usually in the 10-16' range. But that is just me. Do what works for you.

If you keep the lights properly cooled you can get as close as 10 inches. I even had a sativa leaning phenotype stretch almost 5 inches to the light..luckily she had the fan blowing on her the whole time but it turned out great.

I just do the hand test, to hot your palm to hot for your babes.

2x1000w with air cooled hoods.
8" 720 cfm fan to cool them
If you live in a warm climate you will likely still need a/c.
You will also likely need a dehumidifier 30 pint minimum.

I was thinking about going with 2 600w from Apollo with air cooled hoods

That would make the heat more managable...probably eliminate the need for ac if you use a 720 cfm fan. But... little light on light for bud production... unless you scrog the plants...

Not anymore than what you have probably read about it already. Going from clone is much easier. Keep the screen lower for more spread on the plant giving more bud sites the light.

When you set up make sure you can reach everywhere under the screen to trim it a out.

You wont be able to move the pots... so getting rid of run off is tricky .... i use a shop vac...
