First harvest, smells funky but see no mold

So, i harvested my last three plants (who had a rough flowering with salty soil and lockouts) the other week and everything was fine and dandy. Put the trimmed branches in a tent with ventilation and dried them for 3-4 days. They were all crispdry on the outside but still soft in the core so i cut the buds off and put them in plastic containers to start the cure. At this point they had very little smell but when opening them up about 5 hours later when the moisture had spread, it smelled awful. All 3 strains had a funky smell to them so i immediately thought its mold since its season for mold now where im at and the temps has been cooler. I decided to continue the cure but i had them open for airation more than my previous batch so they dried up in less than a week.

Now heres where im at and i dont know what to do with them. One strain lost the scent but now smells odd in another way, like a dry ashtray or something. The other two strains has this wierd original smell left, one more than the other, just not as strong.
Ive scoped the broken up buds for obvious signs of mold for hours but cant find any, all i see is trichs. Ive also tapped the buds in a strong light to look for sporedust but again just see trichs and small fibers falling to the ground.

So my wondering is if it sounds safe to consume this harvest or what can i do to be really sure?

I should also mention two things.. The plant that has the most of the smell had a bud with budrot during flowering. I disposed of the bud and saw no more signs of it. At harvest one of the other topcolas had a slight browning going on inside but no visible rot. I gave that bud away to a contact who used to grow for advice and he said it looked fine and smoked it all, he just said it tasted abit funky.
The other thing i should mention is that halfway into flowering i connected a duct from the inlet of the room for cooler air. I just grab air from a opened window but it got too hot mid summer so i got the temp down by doing this. Now, i have no idea where that air comes from, its just an incoming vent in my ceiling which gives me suspicion that the neighbors cooking- and smokingsmells occassionally found its way into my tent and rubbed off. I put the plant with budrot who also smells wierdest directly in its breeze to prevent it from having stale air causing more budrot.

So what do you think? Is it safe to smoke when theres no visible signs of mold or better safe than sorry and throw it all away? Its most of my harvest so im very split on this..

Yikes, when taking buds today and breaking them open and tapping on them in front of a spotlight to try to see if any spores dust up ive made a discovery. No dust at all but one of the plants had a few strands going between the pieces of the broken up bud. Really thin ones so i cant see how it can be anything but mold. This is the one that smells dry and kind of like an ashtray.
Shes going to get dumped, the rest are still just suspect due to smell, really cant find any mold or traces on them and ive scoped them and made a couple of tests like i mentioned above.

Thats the thing, nothings visible. Well, barely, i did find a very small patch of white fluff when scoping the buds the other day. Its so small that you cant even see it without a great bit of magnification and ive only found it on one spot on one bud. Bought myself a UV-light to try to see if i can see anything with. Farfetched though when 60x magnification dont show anything..

What i fear is spores inside the bud but when breaking them open and tapping on them and so on i see no sporecloud. Ive also learnt that sporeheads look like trichs so i guess i couldve missed them but i think there should be nets or fluff or anything like that if that is the case?

How about your buds, is it only a smell or do you actually see mold?

3-4 days is not long enough unless they were tiny little buds on tiny little stems. it usually takes 5 or 6 days before i feel like i can trim off the big stems, then i brown bag it for another 2-4 days till a little more of that core moisture has come out. then i jar, burping 3 times daily for at least a week, then at least once a day for a couple more. if you go too fast, they get a "brown" smell., it reminds me of a paper grocery bag.
