first grow w/ h&g... well see how it goes

hey, this is my second grow and i just got the h&g line without the foliar spray or nitrogen boost. im growing in a 2x2 tent with a 150w hps. 4" can am filter with 60 cfm fan. i also have exhale bag and side fan with roots green lite soil. for veg i have a prop tent with 96w t5. Until this point i have been running gh 3 part floura series and now switching to H&g. pictures to follow soon. anyone who has tried gh and h&g please let me know how you have liked it and how hot it runs, i hear it can sometimes run real hot. also any opinions on the magic green foliar spray or ammino treatment would be appreciated. thanks

one of my veg tent, clones/seedlings in front, 2 plants 3 weeks into veg im testing LST on. other of my nute set up. camera is shitty and its night time for flower tent, will post more pics soon (hopefully of higher quality)

not sure, started from bagseed. i know it has some cheese in it because of the previous harvest, but how much i dont know. dont wanna call it something unless im positive.

I use H&G nutes and have had great success w/ them. This is my first grow so i dont have anything to base how they perform compared to other lines, but i like them. I use the foilair spray on my veg girls and they definetly seem to like it. One thing i hhave noticed is how bushy my girls are w/ out having topped them or anything. Supposedly thats the Algen Extract doin its magic. I have seen lots of friends grows, and their plants were nowhere near this bushy. I will post pics when i get home. As far as how hot they run. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by hot. PLease clarify and i will do my best to answer.

Looks really good, the girls look healthy and happy, guess you'll just have to make up a name for your bagseed strain

thanks for the comments, and by hot i mean they can cause nute burn easily, like i could run 1500 ppm on gh during bloom no prob but i heard 1500 ppm for h&g can burn your girls. also just a tip i learned from a guy at the hydro shop, never adjust your ph after adding the ammino treatment b/c it contains elements that can bind to your ph meter and damage it. just a heads up in case i thought it was a good point

Thx for the heads up man, but that's the one nute i didn't get. i will def keep that in mind when i get it. I have had no issue w/ nute burn. I dont have a ppm meter, so im not sure what my ppm is at. I use the normal recommendation in the feed chart. I dont want to start experimenting too much w/ different volumes till i get a ppm meter.

ya its not too bad, i just made a batch for 3wks into flower according to charts and i was around 1250, so not too bad but if i used tapwater it would probably be pretty high

Good to know. The 3 wk. batch is one of the heaviest feeds of Aqua Flakes i believe. Are you using the normal or aggressive recommendations?

well im using soil a/b, but im using normal which for me is 15 ml/gal of a/b and all the extras, sans ammino treatment. i use botanicare calmag too and put 5 ml/gal in also. but 24 hours or so after the watering my girls are lookin great not a sign of a burnt tip so i may try aggressive next week how do u like aqua flakes what kinda set up do u run

Nice man, I hope they do you well. I would def recommend the Magic Green foil air spray. I had a bag seed i popped in soil. Well it was lookin all yellow and sad, prob due to the shitty soil. Once it got sprayed w/ the Magic Green it turned a very full green color and has been healthier that ever since. Plus i took it out of the shitty soil, and into my dwc tub.

It says to apply it every other week, but the hydro store dude said i could apply it every week. I use 2ml Magic Green to 8oz water. That is plenty to heavily cover all my girls. Just make sure the batch you mix up gets used w/ in 2-3 hours. Otherwise it suppposedly goes bad.

Yeah, on most the additives, Root Excelerator, Algen Extract, etc. are only like 1-2ml per gallon. I vegged 6 plants for 4 wks. and flowerd them for 8-10 wks. and still have [plenty left. Stuff definetly does go al ong way.
