Basically you submerge the herb in water for 7 days, changing the water each day, and it draws out the chemicals and impurities from the plant leaving just the THC. After day 7 you put the herb in a dehydrator on low for about 5 hours. You end up with slightly less weight (less junk left in bud), a slight loss in flavor but you end up with a higher percentage of THC.

"Unlike other curing methods, the water cure is performed after the marijuana is dried. Powder and small pieces are most often used, but the cure also works with whole colas. The material is piled loosely in a glass or ceramic pot which is filled with luke-warm water. (When hot water is used, some of the THC is released in oils, which escape and float to the top of the water.) Within a few hours many of the non-psychoactive water-soluble substances dissolve. An occasional gentle stirring speeds the process. The water is changed and the process repeated. Then the grass is dried again for smoking.
THC is not water-soluble; so it remains on the plant when it is soaked. By eliminating water-soluble substances (pigments, proteins, sugars, and some resins), which may make up 25 percent of the plant material by weight, this cure may increase the concentration of THC by up to a third.

Wiki mentions it and I think there was recent thread on here.

Been about a week since the last update. Been two months since I first saw flowers on the most mature plant, a little bit less for the rest of them. Just swapped out my res as well and added some of Dr Hornby's Big Bud formula.

Another week and things are progressing. I adjusted the way the plants were growing so some of the shots show some nasty looking leaves. Things have been fine for a while and are from troubles over the last few weeks. I need to add a float valve because they drink SO much water it drives the ppm of the nutes way up.
I am seeing more brown hairs and the newer growth is starting to develop their bud sites. Working on getting a microscope so I can start checking trichromes.

I have a 400W HPS w/ MH conversion bulb, two 4ft floro tubes and about a dozen CFLs. I have dropped the carbon scrubber in place of venting straight to the outside... working much better. I am two months into flower and the most mature plant is showing a lot of cloudy trichs. The newer growth is probably 5 weeks out or more. I let the ppm drift a lot and the one plant got roasted by the light a few days when our outside temps jumped a bunch. A lot of growing pains as I learned this process but now I am set for the next go around. It is difficult to see all the different colas but I think I am going to get at least a 1/4 lb the way things are looking. Here are a few pics -

Well I am pretty close to harvesting the most mature plant. I have been checking trichs and decided to harvest a couple small buds for an early taste. Since I want to try the smoke asap I am going to water cure these buds. Below are some pics of day 1 :-D

^^^^ Read as much as you can! Seriously though I can't recommend the basic bubble bucket setup enough - cut some holes in the lid for net pots and then throw a couple air stones in the bucket to aerate the water. And you can't have enough lighting!!!! Just keep the temps under control.

Thanks! I bought a drip system but have since changed it up. It is pretty much my own creation now and is working well.

Also, because I didn't flush the bubble bucket (two plants still growing) I decided to water cure the majority of this plant. I am currently on day 4 of the water cure. Things seem to be going fine... pain in the @ss to change the water each day!

So far only the one plant is harvested and currently drying... felt like 2-3 lbs wet but I could be way off. I will weigh it once dried and let you know. This plant got toasted and I figured I better harvest it before it went down-hill. The other two look better and will yield more than this first one. Probably 3-4 weeks at least.
