First Grow in Years

Hello!

Starting my first grow in a long time, got a 400w Apollo MH/HPS and I got 3 clones from Cloner's Market in Seattle, 2 x Northern Lights and 1 Dutch Treat. Got em going in 3 gal pots of FFOF.

Hopefully I'll end up with some dank nugs!

Yeah the FFOF burned the clones just a bit at first, Especially the NL, but all the new growth looks pretty good.

The Dutch Treat plant is weird. It has a lot of smaller leaves, and they top out at 5 blades.

I've never grown from clones though, and I know more mature plants often have less blades so I think it's either that or the genetics

oh yeah FFOF does it when they are young..as for leaves: yeah it more than like it was a previous genetic issue.. that you can tell fairly easy though.. go down your plant and see if you see full leaves from the start and see if you can see a point the one leave started disappearing... if you see a retard leafe from the low leaves (when it was young) it already probably had it.. if you see good leave sets then half way up you start seeing the missing leafe come in it may have had a stress issue.. it happens a lot.. some of my clones if i keep them too long in cubes without transplanting will three leafe...

might have been the burns from FFOF .. its ph is really high and theres a butt ton of salts in their soil... maybe it hit a FFOF pocket or something and stressed it i wouldn't work but id only clone the hearty one...

the plants in back are you heating your tent at night? they seem to be sitting in cold soil

Sorry, that was a pic from when I first got them. I just posted it since it showed the leaves the furthest down having 5 blades.

Here is a new pic from today, they're doing well but the small NL on the right is kind of a runt, I think I'm going to ditch it. This DT is gonna be bushy as F once it stretches, it's branchy already.

You're probably right - it was just smaller an hasn't been as vigorous as the other one.

I want to keep these plants smallish though, so I'm starting flowering tonight or tomorrow. Should find out soon! If I let em go much longer I'll be out of space in that closet by the time they're done.

Wanted to post an update, girls are doing great 3 days into flowering:

The top-down pic is NL and the close-up is Dutch Treat.

Just in case anyone is interested...

Here's a video update from week 2 of flowering. I'm going to try and post one each week.

Update: day 21 since switching to 12/12

Does it look like they are coming along ok for being 3 weeks in or should the buds be bigger by now?
