Hell yeah. She's got u feeling like Denzel in American Gangster over there - that's what's up. Might need your wife to give my girl some coaching cuz all I'm getting is a "that fucking stinks" and "what do you need alllll that weed for?!" Lmao.
I'm burnt like toast rite now and that comment cracked me up! Thanks.

I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind teaching your girl how wonderful this plant truly is in so many ways. Tell her to call.

" what do you need all that weed for?" To smoke, of course.

lol, my GF's the exact opposite, doesn't smoke because it makes her paranoid, but she wants me to bottle up that smell in a perfume bottle for her :-D

Damn I didn't realize how big and dense some of these buds were. Gave em a squeeze n they're solid. Thinking maybe I should cut them into smaller pieces so they don't grow mold while they're drying...

That was your smallest one? Wow. And they say autos don't produce
This one was the 2nd largest in the tent, but still pleasantly surprising. After all the auto hate I read, I would have assumed less than an O from each plant, but that main cola has to be an O by itself if I had to guess. The time frame blows my mind too...~60days :o autos are amazing if you ask me

Look s like a nice haul, never tried autos assuming they produce less but those buds look awesome, nice one...

Seems to me auto hate comes from people that have never grown are smoked them.

Yeah I think a lot of that is people that heard shit from years ago when there were a lot of unstable auto genetics n they still regurgitate it today without even trying them. These honestly look as good as the buds I've been picking up from the dispensaries which are supposedly "top shelf"...Gotta smoke it to really know but I'm happy w/ the yield for sure.

I'd almost have to setup a separate box for autos, you should be running them 18/6 or 20/4 throughout the grow right? Other reasons I've stayed away from them though is not quality but from the little I've read on them they're not easy or recommended to clone.

Thanks bro. Yeah I really wasn't expecting them to produce like that at all. Maybe having a 600w in such a small area helped. I'll probably run a couple more autos before I move to photos. This jack herer X ak47 auto is probably gonna be my next run. It's supposed to grow quite a bit larger than the Berry Ryders so I'll only do 2 and I'm gonna try out 5 gallon fabric pots this time (ran 2 and 3 gallons for these girls)

I ran them 22/2 from start to finish (for no specific reason lol...). Seemed to work alright. I don't believe you can clone autos at all because they'll be whatever age the 'mother' was in maturity, so even if you get them to root they will have almost no veg time and produce very little. That's definitely one drawback...Would suck to find a really nice pheno and not be able to keep it around...You could always produce some seeds but getting an exact clone like you can w/ photos just isn't possible from what I've read. That's actually the only reason I'm going to switch to photos...I'd like to keep a mother and get a perpetual crop going

You don't have to havea separate space for autos. Just throw them in your veg room. They flower on any light schedule 18/6, 12/12, 24/0 whatever it don't care. Only thing is 12/12 produces a smaller plant and ultimately a smaller yield. The thing about cloning autos is the cutting is the same age as the mother. With a predetermined lifespan the clone will finish at the same time as the mother plant.

Yeah that would be an option but my veg cabinet is too small as-is. Maybe down the road, I'm planning to finish my basement this winter and there's a nice little corner in what will be the laundry room where I can build a 3x6x7.5' proper veg room. I'm finding it difficult in my small veg cabinet to produce large enough plants to feed my CMH for flowering, and I want to expand that room with another 200W of DIY LED's. These guys are 4 plants in 5 gal pots that are now stretching @14/10 in my veg cabinet while I wait for the flower room to be ready. Luckily it's only a few days away now. This pic was last Sunday and they've stretched about 8" taller this week, the cabinet is wall-to-wall and I've moved the light up this week as they were within 8" of the light by the time I moved them. Second shot is a camshot inside the veg cabinet last night, plants are going to block the camera soon ;)

Hows your DIY led treating ya? Those girls look nice and healthy. Got that lush green look my girls started w/ but sadly lost really quickly lol... I can't remember if you already told us but what kind of feeding regiment are you using? Do you keep it simple or use a lot of different stuff?

Not well on the cob build, just no time, I bought all the stuff at the wrong time and haven't made any time to get building. Started on one but it's end of summer here and we only get 3 months of good summer, too many activities and parties in a short period of time ;)

Not a big feeder, just enough to help them along. 50% PRO-Mix/50% Triple mix medium so it has some nutes, I go about every other watering with 600 ppm feed after about 4 weeks into veg. That keeps them going/healthy, the only time I feed them more is during the stretch where I'll go 2x feed, 1x water-only (water/feed every 2 days right now with those plants stretching, they drink like fiends during the stretch). Or if I have a def show up I may go heavy on the "A" which has high cal-mag, but maintain 600 ppm. Been using the basic AN Sensi Grow and Sensi Bloom A&B formulas. Mainly because I don't want to bother chasing ph and it (AN's "ph perfect") seems to work well with filtered water (they only claim to balance ph if you use filtered/RO water). It's supposedly expensive but I use so little I'm like whatever, not having to chase ph is worth it imo, I can concentrate on other things. Plus after a couple of runs with it, it works well, no doubt they know what they're doing. Don't use anything else, not a big fan of chem nutes, nor do I think feeding them a smorgasbord of nutes/supplements makes enough of a difference to be bothered with. If I can't grow a weed with some light feeding, I should go look for another hobby ;)

Too bad more growers don't think like this. Imagine the money they could save and put towards better/more equipment or genetics. I fell victim to the cannabis game but I have since learned. I tried all types of nutes and pumping plants full of shit to get more of this or more of that. Seems like to get more of one thing I would lose some of another. For example, I tried some stuff a few yrs back to "dramatically increase resin production",it did do what it claimed BUT at the cost of dramatically decreasing bud mass. That stuff stressed my plants into making more resin but they were so stressed they couldn't maintain bud production. I did it with sister clones.

Yeah, agreed keep it simple, the basic A/B line does just fine with some care and lovin, here's a bud I just trimmed up tonight, looks like fire to me ;)
JTR-Trimmed-5.JPG

Got a nice little haul from this JTR for a relatively small plant and medium-producer, just posted an update in my thread with weight comparison's against the last run with the LG/Top LED's, wow, not even comparable. This one JTR under the CMH produced as much usable/top shelf bud as 3 plants last round :bigjoint:

Thanks, tried some last night and it's definitely better than my first batch. More or less the same resin than under the LED's but this CMH rocks it for maturity and density. Not cured but still good tasting and smoked more like hash than pot since it's not cured.

BTW: I just put the 4x Harlequin BX4 (high CBD) seeds into paper towels last night. Treating this as a breeding project, hoping to get at least 1x Male & 1x Female to add some of these very expensive seeds to my seed personal seed stash. Anything else would be a bonus. Hopefully better luck with 4 seeds. Last round I tried 2x Blueberry seeds that I wanted to grow out and ended up with 2x males :( Got a nice bag of pollen though and I'm just past the 3 week mark into breeding some plants with that Blueberry pollen, always a bright side ;)
