A little over a month into veg and sadly I think I have my first problem :(. The leaves towards the bottom and some mid way are yellow/green and yellowing more. Any suggestions? Soil is ffof. And they have NOT been giving ANY nutes yet. I think it's a lack of nitrogen. Any temporary nutes I can buy from lowes, Home Depot, wallyworld, TODAY etc until I order some good nutrients

FFOF is can be a strong soil for veg. I do however recommend it. Thing is you need not to add any nutes early. Find out your PPMs. Very important. Find out what the soil ppms are at. Rollitup.org is a very good place for all of your needs. Also check this out, just click on the link <a href="http://www.greencultured.co/shop/budtender-certification/cannabiscollege/665/" title="Bud-Tender Certification"><img src="http://www.greencultured.co/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Budtender-Skills.gif" alt="Bud-Tender Certification" /></a>

I've used fox farm trio they are of but it is strong will burn them up so be careful when dosing them start with a 1/4 dose than move up ... I personally think u should have gone with the Greenleaf Nutrients it's an all in one I gave my girls a little dose and they are loving it .. They perked up and are really starting to come alive they are 11 days old and are on fourth node and really getting a nice size to them .. It was also nice to just weigh up the powder and mix it not having to worry about adding different nutes and making sure I add the right one first and so on.....

About a week since my last pic update. The yellowing and falling off of the leaves seems to have slowed down/stopped/or kept to the bottom of the plants. Got nutes in. And also ph up and down and ph chemical tester. My ph was a little off. It was sitting around 7-7.1. Now I down it to about 6-6.5 after nutes are mixed in. Gave them about a dose and a half of that over the last two waterings. Was thinking of giving plain water next watering in order to avoid nute burn but they seem to be flourishing and taking them well. Gonna wait about another week week and a half before I hit the switch. I want more of that robust inner growth to explode. And all it seems to need at this point is a little time. Hell at the rate that it's going it might just be a couple friggin days lol.

Been a week since last upload. They are about 7 weeks from seed now. Still some slight yellowing towards the bottoms of my plants. It's not as aggressive as it was about a week ago. Other than that they seem to be ok. They are growing vigorously since starting the nutes. PLENTY of bud sites. O yea 2 of them are already showing pistols. I know that since they are fem seeds it doesn't matter but it was good seeing it as a first timer so I know what to look for in the future. Thinking of hitting the switch in a few days. My lazy butt has yet to hook up my fan and filter and ducting lol for odor Control. They already have a WONDERFUL 'planty' smell to them can't wait to TASTE them and have had it for a while now. It's mild and only really noticeable when you open the door

It's been a while riu. I have been extremely busy and got sick a few weeks ago but I'm still at it. Girls are 6 weeks into flowering. Buds look good and smell AMAZING. Like a new cotton candy flavor. Can't wait to taste them!!! Quick updates. Ordered a 6 in phresh filter to go along with my 6 in fan and let me tell you that thing is AMAZING lol. No smell whatsoever outside of the room. A "small" hint of it by the door but nothing alarming. Around 3 weeks ago I was sick a few days and was inconsistent with my upkeep of my garden. They went without water and food for about 2-3 days and when I got better and looked at them they were all laying over. Yellow and brown leaves everywhere. 1/3-2/3 of the bottom was wilting away. I started tying them up and resumed proper watering and feeding. My feeding schedule is feed, skip a day, water, skip a day, feed, etc etc. Yellowing and browning continued. Mostly at the bottom but also on the tops. Buds still look to be forming well imo but I'm wondering if it could have been better. After some "late" reading I decided to check my runoff ph and it was @ 5.8. So I'm assuming the problem has been nute lockout (no potassium). Did a "mini" flush (3x water than normal) with regular water that I ph'ed to 7. Brought ph up to 6. I was watering with water with a ph of 6.5-6.6. Now I water with water with a ph of 7.5 and it is slowing bringing the ph up. Will be getting a loupe in the next few days to look at the trichs. I think I vegged them for too long lol as they are about 5-5 1/2 feet tall

Can anyone help me figure out what problem/deficiency is messing with my crop. The cola to the right with the yellow leaves and the reddish/brownish spots. It's only really affecting a few of the upper colas. The bottom growth grows in well, all green, and the buds look sicker than the tops! All in all they seem to be progressing more or less. It's been 8 weeks since I hit the switch. I have been feeding tiger bloom and big bloom @ 3 tsp each per gal every other watering. I give 1 gal each. Light is 600w hps. Temps remain around 72-79F. FFOF in 5 gal smart pots. Ph was @ a low of 5.8 about to weeks ago but now I keep the runoff @ about 6.8. Any help would be welcomed

I took a "small" sample from one of the ladies like 2 days ago. A bud from towards the bottom that wasn't probably going to get much bigger to make a big difference. Dried it was about 3/4 of a g. I placed it on top of my hood for like 30 min @ a time then turned it over for another 30 ish min maybe 3-4 times a day. Then would take it off and set it in between two small pieces of cardboard. Just lit it up and I must say I'm impressed with my work . The smoke is really smooth but full. It hits but not like a spaceship taking off. It paces itself and comes on nicely. The high is uppidy. The flavor is well. Taste @ this point is very nice and noticeable although I'm not ready to point the finger @ anything specific. It hints towards berry and like maybe some type of cake lol. No crackling, it stayed lit, and ashed well. After sampling I'm anxious to see what a good dry and cure REALLY does. I plan on letting them go another week-3 to put on more weight if the girls allow. Overall 8 weeks since switch, pulled right off plant, quick dry, no cure, no flush, nutrients and all and the shit is better than the shit around here. Probably some of the better shit ive had in my life

It's been 8 weeks since I hit the switch. I have been flushing (regular watering with no nutes) for about a week now. Girls seem to still be "developing" but I'm worried about the leaves now. The ones near colas were banana yellow a day or two ago. Now they are shriveled and/or shriveling. Mainly the ones around the top of buds. I'm worried that these dead/dying leaves will affect my smoke lol. I try to leave whatever is on the plant on bcuz I feel the plant will "drop" what she no longer needs. Summing up should I pull/mess with the shriveling leaves, give a shot of nutes, or just let it be.

I wouldn't give any nutes.... This is all a matter of opinion obviously but I wouldn't worry about the leaves. Any yellow and dry ones you can pinch off, it won't hurt the plant at all. Buds are looking great and the plant is sturdy! You're in the home stretch dude :) good job

What did you think the plant would use for food??? The plant is taking nutes from the fan leaves. It's a good thing.... relax. And DON'T FUCK UP the dry and cure, the game is almost over.
Nice job!

I just gave them plain ph'ed water a min ago. Yea I admit the buds are looking great. But as far as sturdy not so much lol. I think I vegged them too long. I had to do a lot of thing up just to hold the branches up. Everyday I see a "new bud" that's leaning towards the ground that I have to "situate" right so more light can get to it. And THANKS

I know that the leaves are suppose to die. Being a noob my thing was worrying about would these leaves affect my final product. Like my buds growing swallowing them and causing problems. Like mold or breaking up a mug to find a shitball of dead yellow leaves. I've spent much money... wait fuck the money. I've spent too much TIME reading, observing, carrying water, stressing, mixing nutes, tying up, ph'ing etc etc to fuck up at the last minute lol. I agree the buds look delicious as is. I'm tempted everyday to get a "sample" but looking at it everyday and seeing the buds boom everyday knowing what a "sample" could be in a few days makes me wait
