First Grow Bangi Haze

Hello everyone thanks to "LetsGetCritical" I've decided to make my own growing journal of my first grow.
He has given me endless advice about my first grow too.

Comments are not only welcomed but appreciated.

• Germination: Put in a glass of tap water inside a dark warm place (My closet) for 24 hours then between 2 paper wipes that I poured water over then placed in a zip lock bag in a dark warm place for 2-3 days.

• Strain: Bangi Hazi which I got from a website called BonzaSeeds. I got it from the regular seed collection forgetting I maybe should have picked a feminized seed for my first grow but oh well.

Once germination was completed I bought a bag of seed growing soil from my local Bunnings (In Australia)and 2 green small pots. Then placed them outside where it was the most sunny.






After a day I didn't see any signs of life so the next day I placed them in the same spot where it was most sunny and then placed them under a florescent light (I will get how much watts it was later) The next morning I went to check on them and one of the 2 plants sprouted.






As you can see it's only sprouted a tiny bit but at the end of the day still under the florescent light it has gotten at least twice it's size. The other plant still has not sprouted hopefully it will tomorrow. Thanks man I really appreciate all you've done. Here is a little update I quickly took some photos

The first seed is doing pretty good but the second one is kinda a late bloomer I guess it's still a bit droopy hopefully tomorrow it will be up I think it's because I planted it a little deep.

New Update

The first plant is growing so fast that it was almost touching the light on top of it, I need to get a stand or something so that the light can stay shine directly on top without the light falling and making the plants not touch it.



And also the second plant finally sprouted all the way through and it's looking good




Both are doing pretty good so far will have to fix the light problem though, anyway thanks for staying tuned will do more updates tomorrow if you have any questions or concerns feel free to comment below. Thanks

I had to move the light to the side but then the plant started growing to the side and it made me uncomfortable because I might have screwed it up, so I moved the light into my room so and put the light really sketchy lol but I hope it grows upwards so it goes back to normal again.

Okay so I noticed it was WAY off even lmfao so I evened it up a bit and put it lower.

one thing remains unclear to me: are you planning on growing outdoors?

Well I'm not too sure at this point, maybe when summer hits and the plants have gotten a bit bigger I'll consider it, but it's kinda awkward in my backyard since there's not really a spot where the sun shines a lot in one spot since there's a shed there. But thanks for the comment I'll work on it later

I stop indoor completely during summer and grow outside and this saves me large power bills (but I have 600w ect) and the plants wouldn't be happy without aircon and I cant justify this expense for my small grows. My advice would be to leave outside for summer. Then around March when the weather is cooler start your indoor grow without the worry of heat concerns. But its up to you,just my thoughts mate.

I was thinking of doing the same thing in the summer time, I was just so surprised how fast they were growing just under a light so I left it like that, a plus for growing inside is that I dont have to worry about pests and birds and so on because it is Australia after all haha.

are they permanently under the light now? Try to get at least 150w of light per plant come flowering time if you want a couple ounces off each (if they both female)

Not too sure what wattage they are come to think of it, the light was just buried somewhere in my dads shed so I just used it since it was there, and yeah I keep forgetting that I'm not sure what sex they are, I ordered some more seeds that are feminized not sure when they will come, hopefully at least one of them is a female other wise it would have been kinda a waste :c apart from the experience of course

Just a little update both plants look like they're doing pretty well the second plant which took a day and a half late to sprout than the other one is actually getting taller than it o.o

You can get the light closer to limit stretching-you want the leaves to grow now not the stem. You can use a small oscillating fan to help with heat control and strengthen the stem. If they get too stretchy (searching for more light) just put some more potting mix in the pot. But, they look very healthy and you are doing good so far

Not to get too ahead of time here, it is my understanding that sativas get quite tall

Generally. I had a look at the website now and it says "compact" sativa. I'd just keep a close eye out for spider mites if they stay outside.

Little update the plants kinda seemed to calm down with the stretching a little and the leaves are getting a bit bigger.
