First Grow Attempting Organics TGA-Space Candy & Pollen Nation- Pinky's Advice

So I am 14 days into my very first grow. I germinated 12 seeds on August 9th.

10 TGA- Space Candy
2 AC/DCXQuerkle

On August 12th I planted into Pro-mix cc in Red Solo Cups.

8-TGA Space Candy's Popped 1 of which came up 4 days after the rest.
1- AC/DC popped up of the 2 I planted

Currently I have them under 4 x 4ft T5's 24 hrs. With humidity dome on 12 hrs of the 24.

temp/Humidity
With dome- 70%-85% Humidity and 78-90 Degrees
Without dome 45%-60% 72-84 degrees.

Any and all advice appreciated I am going to try and do weekly updates. Glad to finally join the community.

Vegitation Station

2 8 bar 4ft T5's from Hydro Farm
4ft x 10ft space
I mounted some panda plastic to a clothesline in the basement so I could move my "wall" when I needed to work on the plants.

I started to see a few gnats ( I think I started out overwatering) So I picked up some Diatomecous Earth from the local Tractor Supply Store.

I am hoping this will solve the gnat problem and prevent some other pests?!?! Thoughts?

These are 11 days from being planted and 9 days after sprouting. ( How do the look?)

Let me know your thoughts!!! this is my first ever grow and I am attempting a water + a couple of teas setup.

Alright here is the soil-mix ( plan to compost about 45 days) Started on 8/15/15

2x 3.8 Cu. Ft. Cubes of pro-mix CC
2x 30lb. bag of worm castings
8 lb buffaloam
5 gallon bucket of composted leaves
5 cups of Dried molasses
1.5 lbs of Bio-Tone Espoma
3 1/2 cups feather meal
4 1/2 cups bloodmeal
3 cups greensand
2 cups Azomite
3 cups Dolomite Lime
6 cups kelp meal
2 cups humic acid
4 1/2 cups oyster meal
1 1/2 cup langenbite
4 1/2 cups alf alfa
1 1/2 cups bone meal
1 1/2 cups fish bone meal
2 1/2 cups 0-12-0 Seabird Guano
3 1/2 cups crab shell
60 liters of Perlite


I let this sit for 10 days and the temp got up to 80 Degrees.

I then turned the soil every 2 days and have only been seeing 70 degrees since then

I have 15 space candy sitting in a box. I would like to see how it turns out for you. Were the seeds gifted or get them during the 4/20 promo a couple of years back? I ran 5 of them last year and had 2 females. Sweet melon type but on the small side. Totem pole growth, not much side branching if I remember right. The males had more funk than the females. It was only 5 seeds though. It is one of those strains that is not talked about much.

I got them given to me to start off my grow. Still have to plant the pinkys but trying to spread out my timeframes

I grow Space Candy and it smells very nice.Seeds I soak in water 2 days and plant in soiless dixie cups,just plain water.Than they are outside in the shade light water twice a day,than into 1 gallon pots,now they get ff grow 10mm gallon,keep the nutes lite until the plant has lots of roots,increase the dose as the plant yellows

Thanks for the advice they seem to be starting off real slow. I am more excited for the pinkys advice I cannot find much info on them at all. I will post progress pictures in the next couple days.

You are doing the worst part of the grow! It is much more fun when you have clones going and everything is established. it sucks watching seeds grow!!!

Space Candy seemed like the males had more funk to them. I only ran 5of20 though.

Update
My little ladies are sick ! Help Please

Fed them 2 days ago with Roots Organic Trinity Catalyst in RO water 10 ml for a gallon ph to 6.0

They have started to get droopy leaves and some plants are turning yellow.

Temps High 86 Low 73
Humidity High 79 Low 47

Update on Soil...

I mixed in a 5 gallon buckets worth of 2 year old leaf compost from the yard and 3 cups dried molasses. I then wet the mixture down and stirred a lot.

I am happy to report my compost is now cooking at a nice 90 degrees!

I use foxfarm light warior for seeds and straight up bag soil for veg. You should not need to feed them until flower. It will give your soil time to age also

These were planted in plain Pro-Mix CC no amendments or anything added. I did not want them in the organic mix as it did not have time to cook yet. Do you think maybe the Trinity burned them? Or just a case of overwatering?

Welcome dude!

As per your Q, Might be both.. Could try shaving a few hours off of your dome time (right in the middle of the 12 hours?)
Could Try add a bit of insect frass dry if you can find it, and boost those immune systems!
That Should reintroduce the praying .. Or use your crab meal. That has chitinase.

Other than that, More air flow might be good..
Little pokes with a tooth pick to aerate the top two inches..
Which should be allowed to dry a bit to prevent gnats, you're right, but DE rocks are great for that, and cooling and more..so nice grab.

Tap roots dive down on babies fs right? but not so with clones, so you, growing fs, can bottom feed every second time as well, if you want, no problem, there, hombre

Always room for improvements.. I would maybe ditch the trinity and get a real aloe plant ..
Maybe Ditch the bone meal too but let it run its course, but its all cool. We doin the same..
Your herbs will get smoother each run either way I'm sure..

And dawgy, you got a LOTA power behind you in that mix, you should be laughing for years to come..just don't add any more blood meal for your sake..I think you will rise above this one amendment soon with all our other ones at play

Lastly, just for future runs, you can, surprisingly, attempt direct growing in organic mixes with no cooking or mellowing as Petro calls it, simply by placing the majority of your hotter amendments in the lower half of the pot or no till (like the poop and alfafa) or by mixing really well like Hyroot does, if I'm not mistaken. 20 minutes after mixing I planted these babies, and new growth is shiny!
Even my sickest plant made a sweet recovery and all I did was make sure the Ewc and cow poop were lower in the bed and everything else got mixed in.. Except egg shells, forgot those so they on top in between rows..
