I apologize in advance for multiple posts...Im trying to research all of this as much as possible.
I whiped down the closed loop system, its brand new and looks great. It came together well and I "assume" the seals are good. Everything appears to fit properly. I plan to load up the tank with nitrogen gas from a welding store (advice im taking from someone on here) and check the seals.
after that, assuming the seals are good. Ill let the nitrogen loose into the atmosphere and do a full vacuum on the solvent tank and then fill it with butane.
the column has been loaded with ground nugs/trim in powder form (I used essentially a huge coffee grinder to turn about a pound into powder the consistency of flour)
my next steps (correct me if I am wrong)
1. put the column and extractor (not solvent tank) into my huge freezer in garage and let freeze for 24 hours.
2. hook it all up, put extractor back in freezer and open valves and let column pressurize from butane. leave for an hour.
3. open valve to purge chamber and let "shatter" into collection area, then put solvent chamber in freezer and reverse it to recollect butane.
what am I leaving out, what prep, etc. ive watched videos, read up, im asking questions so that I get it all organized for first attempt in my mind. Its going to be stressful enough doing this for the first time, I want to have the extraction part down on my first try.
